That's a fair point, considering all of the balancing op the passive, and considering that some of the passive aren't working properly. I wouldn't mind some cost, but it's currently out of balance with the amount of gold being earned.

For example was it too easy to beat Candleback, too hard, or just right??

Given the build in question should have good "damage uptime", has built-in decoys, is "ranged", the boss has audio queues for major attacks, and the player is using what seem like good synergistic skills why shouldn't they have an easy time ... Perhaps even a trivial time??

My entire guild loved the experience of getting to maps and higher levels, and were planning on doing all characters before our review.

Either way, on our latest characters we weren't even done with act 1 and had a dozen regals and exalts. Absolutely absurd.

If they do the same level of adjustment a handful more times, we will have 7 years of PoE power creep in 7 weekends.

GGG folded so hard lmao
Grinding Gear Games? More like Participation Trophy Games.
I love the idea of an act boss being to hard and having to re-farm the beautiful areas.

If PoE2 released with JUST ACT 1, I would play it for years. I love it that much. I felt the same about PoE1, I felt the same about D2. Look at my supporter badges. PoE could be the ONLY GAME I WOULD EVER PLAY! I wish with all my heart GGG will do the right thing and I can finally lay D2 to rest. They had a chance with PoE1 and blew it. Briefly revived with Ruthless.

GGG has to walk a fine line here, and given their track record with PoE1 I'm understandably anxious.

Even if you got those regal and exalts what are you going to do with them? No crafting bench, so ill tell you, you gonna regal and exalt a couple of items and end up with vendor trash, good job, now you needed and upgrade to go further and you have nothing, see the problem? Or are you too dense? And btw i have over 30 hours in the endgame, and it´s completely booring, the itemization is booring, just life and res, no cool modifiers or interactions, maps are massive and slow, going over tier 9 waystones is basically impossible even with all the atlas nodes for them, you cant sustain t10 imagine t16, only a 20 or 30 different maps wich despite looking good get old really fast, a massive "infinite" atlas with nothing cool to find, just normal maps and from time to times a nameless seer, oneshots all over the place (They changed the pace and the flasks so they could stop the oneshots and theres loads of them lol), Ascendacy trials are a slog, are unbalanced and after spending 30 minutes there you get 1 shot and gotta start it all over again, on death efects are even worse than PoE 1 and their clarity is horrible, want me to keep going? I actually played the game, alot, im not just talking shit, the game wasnt even close to being ready, not even for early access.

I'm just trying to figure out what people are actually refering to when complaining about "difficult" bosses and "white enemies one shotting them".

I got you:

The bosses are actually somewhat challenging when you aren't offscreening them.

White enemies don't, and never have oneshot anyone, those people are exaggerating.
You rolled a sceptre with 4 minion damage buffs while running the meta flame wall srs + skeletal arsonist that was already super busted pre-loot buff (see the plethora day 1 gameplay of witches running a similar or even weaker build with archers instead of arsonists). Furthermore in the boss fight you showed you played with good positioning that prevented the boss from wiping your minions while for a lack of better term, cheesing the targeting ai of the boss.

Have you considered that it's your increase in player knowledge/skill that is trivializing the boss where before, the first time you played, all the boss's attack patterns are unknown and you are experimenting with different minion setups which might not have optimal dps?

There were times, esp. early on, when I ran ahead and either got swarmed / ambushed [spawns all around me] and I died quickly to white mobs. Nothing close to a 1 shot. In the wide-open maps that's just my fault. Same could happen in D1 or D2 so why not here.

With the deliberate ambush [spawn all around you] I just wish I had better kitting for strong crowd control, unconditional movement, really good instant AoE skills, etc.. That may just be a "me problem" though as maybe different supports on leap slam may have been called for .. maybe hope that rolling slam could roll me out??

As for difficult bosses the boss displayed in the video wasn't particularly difficult for me. I have more trouble with the Dodge-or-Die mechanics that hit SUPER HARD ... like the Monkey with a big rock & bigger slams in A3 Jungles. To me his standard attack and slam look almost identical until it's too late. IF I only got chunked for half my HP I would be OK as I'd dodge enough for recovery to do its job. Getting one-shot when I've invested heavily into armor, HP, etc. is a bummer.

Then again my crafting has had really bad results. I assume (?) just farming up a pocket full of EX, Regal, Alcs, Chaos, etc. and hitting the trade site may help. Maybe updating the loot filter to make sure I notice white socketed gear wouldn't hurt either??

Ya tons of rares drop now, may as well not even have white or blues anymore like PoE1 :/

I'll assume that's intended as sarcasm because I pick up everything and look to see if it's useful [now] or as a potential upgrade. If it's trash it can be salvaged or disenchanted as appropriate.

Then again it does waste my time ... I'd be soooooo better off leveraging trade but I was hoping not to go too crazy as I want to see want can be done more-or-less solo before I lean on the "trade site crutch".

EDIT: I think I may have only had two upgrades in all of A2 and none found / crafted / bought from vendors in A3 --- just waste of crafting materials.

Devil's Advocate: Trade in normal leagues is just as much of a mechanic [if not more so] than self crafting so I'm just shooting myself in the foot [head?] by not using it fully.
