Have you considered that it's your increase in player knowledge/skill that is trivializing the boss where before, the first time you played, all the boss's attack patterns are unknown and you are experimenting with different minion setups which might not have optimal dps?

What is preventing the people complaining about difficulty from obtaining player knowledge/skill and learning attack patterns?

Like you said, I, too, went into bosses for the first time and was experimenting with stuff.

You have no idea how many one shots by Zalmarath it took for me to put on some resistances and learn that staying close makes the fight easier.
Isn't that the beauty of a game? When it clicks, you adapt, and you overcome?

They made the game less enjoyable for the "i played it for 8 hours every day" crowd while making it more accessible for casuals? That's just horrible! How dare they want to play without quitting their jobs!

What does casual have to do with wanting to one shot everything?
And what does wanting to skip bosses and maps have to do with accessibility?

What fun is a boss you don't even fight because you get busted gear thrown at you?
What does any of that have to do with not playing for many hours daily?

I hope they won't make the maps smaller, nor increase movement speed or add movement skills, because that's another thing that differentiates it from PoE 1. In PoE 2 I'm on a journey and not on a theme park ride that is flickered in 5 minutes.
So all I'm reading is that one side wants this to PoE1.5, new maps same gameplay, that's been preventing new players from getting into PoE.

And other people are pushing back, because they don't want PoE2.

I play the game to fight monsters, not to spend time walking around between monster packs.

Not really.

Some players thought that hardly enough rares to make one single regal orb every act was a little bit low in a game all about character and gear progression, especially as you get very limited power from the passive tree early on. Playing these kind of games without a sense of character/power progression in a span of ~10 hours isn't really fin for everyone.

Other players want more scarcity.

Both opinions are equally valid.

I see VERY few people in here wanting PoE 1 levels of loot. And no, we're not - in any way, shape or form anywhere CLOSE to PoE-levels. But after the patch, we probably are where they told us we'd be; with enough currency drops to actually use them while progressing the acts. One regal per act wasn't really what they hinted to in the announcement. Some people seem to ignore that completely.

I also see A LOT of people actually praising the game, the combat and the pace of the game. A few more rares and a few more currencies dropping won't drastically change that. It's not like they improved the mods, made the potential of items greater or bosses directly worse.

It's not a drastic change in the grand scheme of things. And this is a freakin' beta, changes will happen. Mistakes will happen. Tuning will happen. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

The PoE1 hardcore players, who are stagnating and GGG needs more players, which means catering to the filthy, disgusting, worthless casuals. Like me. You know the people who will spend money on fun things. Who don't treat this as the center of their existence, but like it enough to keep playing for years.

If it wasn't so stupidly punishing.

Here's the thing, those who are not having fun will try and refund this, then move on, never ever posting on the forums.

the trend im noticing is a lot of people come here, give reasonable feedback and get their threads trolled by a handful of people that consistently and exclusively argue in bad faith, take things out of context & mischaracterize points to the absolute extreme.

someone will say "hey this boss feels kinda overtuned" and their response will be along the lines of "you just want to 1button afk and win everything, gitgud, build issue, go back to poe1"

more great examples of this are happening today with the CoX nerfs in the most recent patch. i have read a load of threads on this, seen some twitter conversations ect.
the vast majority of people just want the passive resets jonathan said we would get with large changes and the replies from the troll types are just ludicrous.

"i want poe 1.5" takes are super uncommon.

the only "whiny vocal minority" on the forums are the 'gitgud' kids.

Don't forget projecting and/or then getting mad over said projection.
It's a pretty good climate.
