Is this diablo 3 all over again?

I main a life/melee/crit and this timeless jewel, I didn't deserve this. This league, it's going to bless me with an amulet with a notable hopefully. I didn't deserve this. There were no major nerfs to my char and the game hasn't gotten appreciably harder. With the intervention teams vanishing, things are a breeze. I think that GGG decided that needing these mirror items to really make your char a powerhouse, this was too much.

A friend can run you through a Rift (Two at the most, at least back in early 2018.) and you're max level in less than fifteen minutes.

But, if you want to get to the end-game, you better be playing the right class, maxxed out perfectly, and don't even think about trying to come up with some other class or playstyle that you like to play if there's not a real content-pushing build available for it.

If you're lucky, you'll find out what the Diablo team missed and get some ridiculous added DPS from an unintended source. If you're outrageously blessed, you'll have a stable speedfarming group to join any time you need mats.

And, if you're one of the cool kids, the leaderboard leaders will tell you the cheats they're using that season. When I left, there probably wasn't one class leader or 4-man (Usually comprised of class leaders) that wasn't likely to not be cheating in some way. Some were legit, but they didn't stay in the lead for very long. (Barring Blizzard's screw ups with gear, maps, synergies, bugs, exploits, etc.)

Ya gameplay sucks in Poe, I mean it’s non-fucking-existent. Pew pew collect loot pew pew collect loot. Once an hour something tries to kill you then it s back to pew pew again. Poe can’t compete with D4 in this state

I'm wonder what kind of player you are because I've only done a few yellow maps so far. I've never fought a Sharper or Elder before. POE has STILL unexplored content for me :)

D3 (D4 doesn't exist) is only about the Ladder Season for those looking for intense gaming.

Pew Pew builds may exist in PoE, but they require more knowledge and more work to put together in PoE. The mechanics of the game are also more complex in general. Navigating a new League and its mechanics while incorporating new material added to the "Core" game, that may or may not be present in the league, does not have an equitable gameplay activity in D3. D3 is about rules and item changes.

And, for button-mashing... D3 requires far less "buttons" and even fewer decisions to be made.

Just so I am understood - Diablo 3 is an outsanding game. It's better than PoE for multiplayer by a huge margin. And, well, it's "Diablo." That has its own appeal. But, at the end of the day, the only "game" there is there is the Ladder. That's it. That's actually a lot of fun up to the point where it's either you have a full crew to supply mats to you or you're willing to cheat/exploit like many of your competitors are doing.

PoE has a ton more content and many more things to do. The Atlas is still key, though, for "intense play."

A great build will destroy the Atlas. One can't do that in D3 as it's a progressive, dynamically generated, instanced dungeon system. PoE does not use that mechanic. I don't know if it can. BUT, D3's mechanic can get pretty darn boring after endless Rifts.

I can click on the Delve encounter, go take a piss, go get something to eat/drink, and come back to loot.

As much people want to hate activision-blizzard constantly d3 runs smoother than poe atm, sure they lack alot of content to be in sub par with poe but they made sure if they are having maintenance mode for years their game will run smoothly..

I have done both.

In D3 - I was consistently ranked amongst the 5 Barbarians on the GRift leaderboards. I attained the #1 ranking twice before switching to POE.
In POE - I am the #1 delver at Depth 14,000. I only started playing this game in 2017.

My gear is GG in both games and I theory craft my own builds.

My experience is that it is much harder to top leaderboards in Diablo. Being good at solo boards is not enough, you must also have a top guild that is able to push group GRifts in order to upgrade gems for solo pushes. Group gameplay in Diablo is 100x better than POE.

Hardcore? If so congratulations. If not, then it doesnt matter. Softcore doesnt count.
