It was the highest difficulty then. It was only T6 not long before that. And I don't remember. That number pumping artificial difficulty is meaningless. Plus you can't get as high not playing sets.

Grifts aren't difficult, it's just grinding to get your paragon up and memorizing everything that can happen. If something isn't new it means nothing if you're good at it.

Any 10 year old half-retard and their mom can drill how to do something into their head if they repeat it enough.

So PoE is hard to you?

I'm not even reading the rest of that nonsense if you're just gonna come right out making shit up.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

So PoE is hard to you? Me mashing Shield Charge all over the map, not even using an attack, sitting on a delve cart while I text, talk on discord and/or watch youtube, is somehow difficult?

Even the new league mechanic, most of the time I'm just sitting on the portals watching the monsters melt as they come through, waiting to collect my items. Occasionally mashing Q or R to proc Overload. Oh, some spawned over there. Lemme mash Q to get over there and sit on those for a bit. Oh GF texted. Lemme see what she wants. Oh, theres the loot. Sweet. QQQQQQQQQQQQQRQQQQQQQQQQQQQRQQQQQQQQQ new map.

Would you consider Grifts harder than that?

And for the record, I'm not flaming PoE. When I play PoE, its for this exact reason. Its like going fishing. Just chilling out, collecting loot, trading, taking it easy. I'm ok with the game being easy. But dont make it more than something its not. Just having to dodge random crap from each D3 rare pack in a high GR is harder than most things you are going to do in a PoE Map.

Anyone can say they play a game eyes closed while eating pizza.
Post a video of yourself on a hardcore 8 mod t16 map doing what you say.

Oh you can't because *enter excuse here*

Alright.

Yes D3 is all target farming for found progression. PoE has no real targeted farming since you need maps for div cards and those are rare enough that you're not really going to find a set of anything you want. D3 is farming PoE is trading for everything.

Even if you take maps out of the equation most div cards that are actually desirable to farm take longer to farm than the time you'd usually spend in a league.

Like they have that 10000 map tiers challenge fairly often, I usually hit around 4-5000 by the time i hit 36 challenges and have done all the league content excessively.

5000 map tiers isn't enough to farm most decent div card sets even if its literally the only map you run so I can farm 1 specific item in the time it takes to get 36 :p

Unless its whispering ice of course you are allowed to farm 3 of those per map.

No, you will have to wait for Diablo 4 for that.

Except the one time I actually tried to farm that one (2.0) then it took forever.
Sadly, content *is* getting more and more trivialized every league. 3.9 should in theory be a new endgame expansion, we'll see if it lives up to how hard uber elder was at introduction.

I don't think this game is nearly as bad as D3 though, despite the progression issues. If you want greater rifts then I guess there's always delve. But as long as the itemization isn't fundamentally garbage like D3, the game is still fun.

D3 has TOO MUCH targeted farming, due to kanai cube, blood shards and mystic. As others said, it's way too easy to gear up reasonably well in just like a day or two of playing of a season start because of those three. They also give you free 6 piece class set, really really speed up progression. It's why I'm always done with D3 in a week or so. As soon as I have the gear to speed T16 rifts, I'm done. The grifts have a lot of challenge to push for your builds, but that's not something that interest me personally.

In comparison for PoE, in a trade league I'd generally play for at least 3 weeks or so before I'm starting to get burnt out, but when I switch to SSF, I can get close to 2 months of game time if I really enjoyed the league, like Legion. And keep in mind that I actually skipped dumb shit like haedrig gift to last for a week of game time in D3, otherwise it'd really be over in 2 or 3 days. D3 really dropped the ball for me here in terms of build progression, it was too fast and then it's just grinding for exp.

I think ''reasonably well'' needs to be more clearly defined here, for T16? Issue is that the whole game revolves around Greater rift progression, T16 is just a stepping stone.

Gearing up in D3 means acquiring the same identical items with higher numbers & better combo of affixes, over and over, until the worthy loot finally is augmented by high level gems(through party play, forget solo). The obvious core issue here isn't too much targeted farming but the terrible core itemization design, it gives the illusion that the player already have the gear(Haedrigs & ancients beyond) and is finished after a few days- week, while in reality the gear still(sucks) and needs to be replaced to progress in the only thing that matters , Greater rifts, sadly.

Remove the mystic & cube formulas, shards and you'll get an even more cumbersome experience as the same system of progression still applies, just at a much slower pace. That may sound like a good thing until one realises 99% of the drops still needs to be salvaged because the general itemization is just a failure. It's actually scary how D3 could devolve into that, at least in the vanilla game the itemization idea resembled D2, Reaper of souls itemization is an abomination to everything arpg-ish.
This thread is almost as bad as people on YouTube fighting over who's the better guitarist.

tl;dr these threads are stupid.

And again: What was your highest Grift?

and @DAKKON: Thanks for the insights. It really means something when it comes from someone like you.
The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

Wait till 4.0. Also, do that as melee and it will mean something, so glad they didn't cave and trash melee like everyone wanted.

Wait til 4.0 for what... disappointment? We need to SEE that it's going to be as good as they keep SAYing. When every league is buggier than the last, and the numbers dip faster and faster, it's hard to believe 4.0 is going to be anything revolutionary.
