Yay because with your logic
not having something better is better than having something better...

No. Because the downside of having a far more efficient trading system is, that the most efficient way to play PoE (in such a system) is to trade instead of actually killing stuff. This is an unhealthy incentive structure that promotes nothing but endless trading.

For my sake they can try to create a trading system, but I seriously hope it won't become an "sell items while offline action house" system, because it kills the gameplay (just as it did with D3).
meh
some people are already only playing the trade simulator

a light i see with new trade system is that it will be easier to get a trade completed

therefor the price will be more consequent

cuz actually you tend to pay more since people from poexyz are 90% of the time offline or item has been sold already, so you fall in desperation and say to your self "aw, might just pay a little bit more since i really need it"

market is not dictated solely by offer/demand

its partially dictated by online/offline too

I suggested a trade system looong ago and was happy to see Chris mention pretty much word for word the same thing. My biggest point was to keep the player to player interaction, to allow them to communicate and bargain making a bit more human than D3's AH
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I play this game as an economy simulator. Sometimes I can only login once a day for a few minutes to see if anyone added me to buy something, and most of the time I'll miss them. It's especially important at the beginning of a new league so that I can snowball my wealth into strong items to farm more efficiently. An asynchronous trading system would fix this issue for sure.

Also, I'd be able to buy that nice pair of fucking boots I've been looking for without having to check in every 2 hours to see if the seller is online.
You make my ochinchin go doki doki.

Can someone e-mail me when there's a trade system please. Been waiting since 2011.

I quit in 2011 when it wasn't worth playing any more because I couldn't find the specific items i needed for my build at a reasonable price. Most people delete average items cause they were too hard to find a buyer for and not enough storage space to keep them around. Only the awesome items were kept and they way overpriced and I couldn't afford them. No one has time to read spam chat or search a hundred forum threads.

When there is finally at trade system people can buy/sell lower value items and it will greatly benefit players working on specific builds and who aren't super wealthy

How many people actually use gear they pick up?! I am guessing very few, so no...doesn't make a difference, only thing it brings is less head-aches with the current process...I doubt all these people running around with void batteries, shaves, or other high end items actually had them drop...they bought them from the select few RNG decided to favor...how many people you think do uber with self found gear?! The game is built around trading, it's not optimized for self found! Would I prefer for the game to 100% self found? Yes, I think earning you're place is better than buying...gives a higher feeling of achievement, but whats done is done, to much work to over haul the whole system, not to mention what happens to gear that already exist?! Would need a full wipe, otherwise it would be pointless to even try and implement! So you improve on what does exist, and what that is, is trading...this game is built on it!

what percentage of players ever tried uber? 0,3%? 1%.
what percentage of players ever tried normal atziri? 10%? 20%?

the game is rather build around sharing items. because there is a fully implemented sharing system for guilds but no ingame trading other than a simple item exchange option.

offline
Trading is sharing?.... /scratches head ...not sure what you were trying to get at there, id like to know how a 50ex purchase is sharing...maybe if you take a shavs for a void battery, that could be sharing...you lost me there!

And my point still stands either way, uber or reg aside...doesn't matter...i'd wage everything I own on the fact a larger portion of people trade than none, at least 70% trade/buy/share/whatever name you want to give it...at least! A small portion of the player base plays 100% self found! I'm willing to bet the actually number is higher than 70% even!

3 Years and still the best trading system since D2.

I dont spam trade chat, I only update my shop thread every 1-3 weeks... I dont even spend a lot of time for pricing...

Still am able to sell and buy stuff even in HC league.

There really is no problem at all it the trade system.
Usually the problem is located between chair and monitor...

Really glad there is no automatic trading crap that ruins the game like the auction house in D3...

Same here, he lost me. This game is based on trading, sure it would be nice to play a game and just get stuff from others without giving anything in return but we live in a world where greed matters the most even in a video game. Hell, i had people thank me just for giving them some gem, im like "no probs, have fun with it" and wonder afterwards if games shouldnt turn to share based ways instead of going for greed.

This game doesnt need improved trading per se, it needs an AH. Everyone hating on an AH doesnt know how to play an arpg, because sitting in trade chat, using 3rd party sites or spamming the noticeboard all day isnt playing the game, its preventing me from doing so. An orb to items AH would be awesome but oh well, GGG doesnt want that then so be it. And i dont trade much but spending an hour or so to get some orbs for the master crafts is not ideal.
Face to face trading is the only reason I play this game if they removed the barter aspect of it I would quit the game and never come back

Funny thing is, it keeps many people from ever trying to trade let alone playing POE as the trading system is bad and the drop rate is build around trading.
