After some DPS threshold, on some classes, you are more handicapped by movement speed than mob killing speed.
Of course, it can be not true in case of T6, but for example, my alt, barb, I want to drop Royal for, is doing A1 T1 bounties only slightly slower than A1 Normal bounties. So what a point in doing lesser than T1 difficulties on this character?
Of course, if I will take my DH, experience can vary, but I fully understand, what Tinko means.
BTW I always do the highest difficulty I can freely do, as I don't play to be efficient, but of old good fun.
And as you said, it can be not true in case of T6 vs. T4, and it fact it's not, because in your example, you take two difficulties where you pretty much one shot things, so of course the %life augmentation has nothing to do with clear speed there. But nobody one shots things in T6, so the 2x health/2x clear speed may not be strictly accurate, but at least informative. It's not 100% accurate because you have to add other datas not %life relative that make T6 even more slow (kitting, waiting for cooldowns since packs take longer to clear,...).

Why did they cap move speed in RoS? I actually really enjoyed playing my tempest rush build in vanilla, but they raped my move speed in RoS, and there's no real way for a monk to go faster...
I just feel like I crawl along nowadays... It's actually painful and keeps me from playing much more.

Of all the crazy shit in this thread that has to take the prize. Why do you call me a liar for stating my opinion? Do you have greater knowledge than I about what I feel excitment about?
I salvage more than 9/10 legendaries, but that does not change the fact that the good ones DO drop. In PoE they dont. All you get are the common ones, even GGG have now realised this and will make the better ones drop more frequently. Are GGG liars aswell?
You find more interesting legendaries in D3 than interesting uniques in poe, so what does it matter that some are "glorified rares"? Most people here seem to like the fact that some BiS items are rares, so I dont see the problem.
well, as it's true that 90%++ of the legs drop are immediately recycled, "maybe" you should reconsider your position.
it's not my opinion, just look at clan log chat of recently dropped legs.
the most part of items you see in list are rings, amulets, bad 2h weapons that are quite useless except for recently 70-ed chars. jordan stones, natalya's refl, azkaranth do NOT drop. and if drop, it's a very very very low % of the total
there are no biS rares in D3.
and the great part of legs are just a higher stat-roll rares, that don't fit in any build, as they have no "unique" affixes. and it IS bad
(example? sydyru crust. longshotravenswing. etrayu. cluckeye. of 10 leg bows, only one is a buildchanger.)
i played the last 100hrs in D3 with my dh without an upgrade.
so, i don't know in poe. but i think in this time i could , if not dropped-crafted, at least have traded something useful for my char, as i have NO BiS at all.
i will soon learn how things go, but as i see, here i can choose a noob build which requires rares or at least some economic uniques, and reach endgame maps/merciless also without much luck.
but in d3 simply i can't.
i'm "exiled" in low T1-2 until i drop myself many gear pieces that allow me to do so.
and i tell you, i played 750++ hrs in d3 vanilla-RoS. and i have NEVER seen a bis gear.
never reached MP10-T6.

Farm for this: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/item/warzechian-armguards at least for farming. Really. My monk in this braces beats even my DH when considering moving between packs, if there is something to break, and it's usually something to break.
Anticipation slowly dissipates...

The percentage that get salvaged is farily unimportant. The important thing is that good items DO drop. I have plenty of set items, 2 shard of hate, a very good rolled thunderfury, 5 SoJs and lots of other high end stuff. It's not like in PoE where you easily can play for months and never get ANY drop from the "Super-rare" category. You actually get a BiS item every now and then, and that makes finding legendaries exciting even though the large majority will be salvaged.

The even greater part of rare items have no use in PoE, so that should be even worse I assume?

Reaching merciless is no more endgame than reaching t1/2. It takes waaaaaaay longer to reach level 74+ maps self found than it takes to get to high torment levels.
You have barely played any PoE,so why do you think that you are in a position to compare the two? You are just guessing and you are bad at it.

What? Movement speed from gear has always been capped at 25%. Movement speed from skills is not capped.
Sooo much misinformation, this is ridiculous.

This is wrong... At least for Tempest Rush the speed is now capped. It's a huge difference. The rune that gives you speed bonus doesn't even appear to give a bonus at all anymore.

i'm not guessing. i'm sure you know poe better than me..as i haven't played it a lot.
i'm not comparing the two games, i'm correcting what people say about ros.
so your opinion is more "accurate" about poe than mine, of course. mea culpa.
but i'm quite sure you DO not know D3...and what you wrote about it shows that.
or, at least, that you DO NOT know what d3 endgame is like.

Nice, ignore 90% of my post instaed of actually adressing any argument.
And no, you are not correcting what people say about RoS, you're spreading misinformation and lies about it.
Then you're wrong. I do know D3. You are the one who is claiming to have played a "casual" game for 750 hours and not even reached the toughest content.
Please PM your D3 profile.
