played the new expansion for D3, but let me tell you...do not waste any amount of cash on it. Now, it was fun for the first two weeks for me personally.

2 weeks of fun from a game is worth no money at all? i love poe as well but if i get a fun hour of playtime per dollar spent it was well worth it...you got 2 weeks of it.

Diablo is known for the whole ''PLAY FOR MONTHS years even'' etc and such NOT fucking two weeks that's what most people expected.

whatever the expectations, that isnt my point. most people buy a 60 dollar game for 30 hours of fun. we get 2 weeks (ill get far more than that, though i am very casual) and COMPLAIN saying its not worth FOURTY dollars...the logic there, it just doesnt add up to me.

You can't compare it to the average game genre. If you have 5 ARPGs to chose from, each 40$. And the typical play time you expect and most of the time get, is (let's say) 6 months.

You buy game #2 and get 2 weeks out of it. Wasn't it a waste? You could have gotten #1 and get 6 months out of it, for the same money.

That's the stigma blizzard themselves gave Isometric Hack'n'Slash ARPGs. They started it, everyone else tried to follow, some succeeded. 2 weeks is not the playtime you expect from such a game.

last satarday i got 11 uniqus in 1 rift run , that's about 5 - 10 miniuts of play time 11 ledgendarys !!!!!

First off, reading your post was painful. Please, just a little bit of spell check!

Second, no. You did not get 11 legendaries in one rift unless you're counting plans which drop like candy until you find them all. The most I have ever obtained in a single rift was 6. On torment 6. After the doubled drop rates.

Unlike, PoE, legendaries tend to (mostly) fill the role of rares in Diablo. You're expected to have a full set of legendaries (rather than rares in PoE). There are certain legendaries that happen to be far rarer (1/10 the drop chance of a normal legendary) that would qualify as a "unique" in PoE. Comparing them directly is simply wrong.

yes sorry about my spelling/grammer.

I do know this is not the norm , it's usualy 1 or 2 ledgendarys and a forgoten soul per rift run. But yes i did get 11 ledgendarys in 1 run it happend. Also important to note that in that rift i had 2 dual drops ( 2 ledgendarys droped at the same time ) and i also got 1 ledgendary out of a barrel , witch is very rare.

U are correct about ledgendarys filling the role of rares vs uniqus filling a new build opening roll in PoE.

However u can compare them since ledgendarys have a secoundary buff or proc.

this is the main problem with the way it works with a insanley high drop rate. I good eg. of this is my cindercoat, it simply can not be replaced. Same with my glass of life ammy , the ledgendary prock is to good to give up for diffrent stats.

In both gear cases i am now looking for the same item to drop with better rolls .Witch is basicaly pointless since the change to my character will be very small.

Now hear is the rub...

PoE is the same with build defining items, if u need them very few if any rares will replace them , same as d3.

However in Poe u can make a totaly diffrent character based off the same class with a totaly diffrent use of mechanics. In D3 i can switch out my gear to scale a diffrent damage type , that's it i can't change anything elce.

If i get board of cluster aroww spam sure i can change to elcetro ball but the change in gameplay is minimul. Even switching from character to character is very similar , my harington waist guard is best in slot belt for pretty much any class, ranged or melee .

In PoE the diffrence from a CI caster to a HP melee character is drastic . or even better a CI melee character vs a Life based melee character. they play TOTALY diffrent. the game feels diffrent when using diffrent skills / builds .This is not the case with D3. In D2 u got a similar felling , playing a hammerdin vs a WW barb made the game play feel totaly diffrent.

it's not just gear or build that's diffrent ether.

Take a look at being inflicted with bleed in PoE For a high regen HP based character it's basicaly means nothing, effect is almost not even noticable . Now see what happens when u are trying to escape from mobs with bleed on a CI character ... totaly diffrent play style is needed.

I just feel persoanly ( and this is a personal thing ) that D3 represents evreything i find "bad" about new games and the direction of the games industry. The player is given massive amount of reward for little or no risk, thare is no way to interact with other players other than the way the company dictaes i shoudl. ( no open world PvP , no loot tention , hell i can't even make a fucking game lobby in games latley ) It's like these companys are catering to the lowbrow end of gamers , people who want something for nothing and then bitch wheter they get it or not.

Is d3 a bad game ? No i don't think so , iv played it for alot of houre, hell i made about 800 bucks off the RMAH so how can i complain about that ?

well cuz im comparing it to PoE

I play D3 and POE, both great games and entirely different.

Does D3 hit the d2 hotspot? Hell no.

Does POE hit the d2 hotspot feeling? Hell yes.

That's the difference :)

Dunno what is hotspot feeling but I think I can agree. POE I often think about, even in my spare time, just things I want to do. I had that too with diablo2, getting excited about ideas I get. I don't play the game coz nothing else to do, or because I 'should'. When I start POE, I am always going to enjoy it, I always have something I look forward to doing. When I get low level unique items, I am not bummed my level 60 char can't use it. Instead I look forward to using it on the next char to make even more imba leveling char. That kind of stuff you know, I don't feel it in D3. The feeling that you can conquer the game. I think POE is actually the first game that is making me forget about diablo2.

And graphics and gameplay of POE are severely underrated. Great lighting, great textures on mobs, great particles + detail on mobs, and spell effects are great blend of functional/visuals. I often play zoomed in when doing some maps and leveling, it is absolutely exciting and gorgeous for the eyes, very good feeling to killing mobs too (no world of warcraft plastic feeling). But I think most people who really get into POE know this.

This is something that i totaly 100 % agree with. POE is a really nice looking game , and im not ususaly 1 to be inpresed with things like that.

I think part of it is that this game seems to have some isues with optimazation on mid range rigs , evrey 1 seems to play this game turned down so much dew to FPS problems on mid range rigs and i even hear complaints from top end rig users that they have problems with heat. I am 1 of the lucky ones who gets to see it in all it's glory on my rig ( The beast ) .

However i do own a pretty darn nice laptop ( it's basicaly the best i could get my hands on ) and it run's POE like a pile of crap, so i feel for the guys who don't get to see Poe in all it's glory.
