Uniques drops here are less fun than legendaries in D3 IMO. The good ones pretty much never drop, so I stopped feeling any excitment because I knew that whatever it is it's just another low lever crap unique.

You are a liar. I salvage 9/10 legendaries I find in D3, so do my friends and their friends, and we're nowhere near perfect set of items. Most "legendaries" have nothing legendary about them, just higher number rolls, and since you're only looking for a specific set of affixes you salvage most of them.

Fixed that for you.

The only excitement I and tens of my friends get is the orange or green beam light, which is beautiful, not the actual item aka craftin mat. That is all.

You're saying I'm wrong here, why am I wrong? Because of your halved clear speed argument?

Yes, it's simple math after all. Your acquaintance could definitely farm T4 with even more than double the speed he farms T6 with. If he#s really all about min-maxing, he should do T4 or he's missing out.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...

RoS is the same thing but with new eye candy... All the arguments are the same.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

You're confusing the word legendary with unique. Where exactly does it say that a legendary item has to have a unique mod on it?
Sure, it would be much more interesting if all of them had.

I don't see that math anywhere, all I see here is you claiming something you've read somewhere.

*yawn*

T4 stats: 3355% Health, 800% gold, 800% exp, 75%/119% leg drop rate, 38% infernal machine drop rate
T6 stats: 8590% Health, 1600% gold, 1600% exp, 131%/189% leg drop rate, 50 infernal machine drop rate

So, mobs in T6 have 2,5x more health but don't even double the drops. That's just pure numbers, in addition to that there's more kiting in T6 which further slows you down. Doing T4 gives you way more items than doing T6. Deal with it.

But it is more fun to do the challenging one :)
One reason I got worn out on PoE was being have to resort to lower lvl easy content as rest were gated. (Yes I play it the wrong way: solo with just some IIR/IIQ)

Lets see here... you're saying when monsters have ~doubled health it takes ~double time to farm them? Can't deal with that "math".

Anyway, why am I even discussing this with you, when I know from a first hand that it's not like what you've read somewhere, applied on your double hp > double time logic.
But that's fine anyway, since neither of us can really prove it, but I just dislike very much when people who have zero experience in something are discussing about it.

And what's funny... I've said "harder content gives more loot", then well-read Xav shows up with T4-T6 "math", never mind that there are 7 more difficulties before them, and that even that "math" doesn't prove anything.

Agree to disagree, nothing else.
After some DPS threshold, on some classes, you are more handicapped by movement speed than mob killing speed.

Of course, it can be not true in case of T6, but for example, my alt, barb, I want to drop Royal for, is doing A1 T1 bounties only slightly slower than A1 Normal bounties. So what a point in doing lesser than T1 difficulties on this character?

Of course, if I will take my DH, experience can vary, but I fully understand, what Tinko means.

BTW I always do the highest difficulty I can freely do, as I don't play to be efficient, but of old good fun.
Anticipation slowly dissipates...

Well thank goodness there's someone who still plays games for fun and challenge rather than just bigger numbers, ratios and percents.

Of all the crazy shit in this thread that has to take the prize. Why do you call me a liar for stating my opinion? Do you have greater knowledge than I about what I feel excitment about?

I salvage more than 9/10 legendaries, but that does not change the fact that the good ones DO drop. In PoE they dont. All you get are the common ones, even GGG have now realised this and will make the better ones drop more frequently. Are GGG liars aswell?

You find more interesting legendaries in D3 than interesting uniques in poe, so what does it matter that some are "glorified rares"? Most people here seem to like the fact that some BiS items are rares, so I dont see the problem.
