Appeal to GGG – Mana leech
Leech trivialised both life and mana regeneration for too long. While it seems like a really bad thing right now, once the meta shifts and balance is restored around a game with reduced emphasis on leech, we will see a multitude of building options open up that previously weren't possible.
TL;DR Be patient, I think this will be a good thing. " This is the main reason I stopped my Blender. You NEED a Soul Taker to be able to utilize your DPS. If you go Blood Magic gem, your DPS will take a massive hit unless you get a 5L. Potions that keep working long after you get full is the best answer to this. It just sucks that after 4 uses my spirit is spent. |

" It was just answer to our "I have no mana problem" Sid, to stress that RMT kids never have any problems with changes, they just can buy new set of gear and replace one res or strength with mana roll. Those who have to drop their gear their selves, have such luxury. I also don't get this all "I have to reroll" bragging. I have full respec on my characters, it's ideal occasion to rebuild them, for example my Bringer of Entropy templar is now Aegis tank. Of course, I still don't know what to do for example with my 11 APS Reave Ranger (and it was very mana savvy build, I used Reave at cost of 4L as I used Additional Accuracy as 4th support), probably will respecc one of my Scion as EB/MoM Reaver. My Summoner Witch her 170 m/s without Clarity or CI EK Shadow casting 6L EK from regen probably will have no problem though ;) After 1.0.0 half of my characters were EB, seems, that in 1.1.0 it will top to 75% or even more... ;) Anticipation slowly dissipates... "I don't know anyone who RMTs Path of Exile, but back when I played Diablo 3, I talked about the game at work (US Army, office job) and got several of my coworkers into it. Naturally, the guy who likes the finer things in life also wanted the finer things in D3, so he RMAH'd pretty heavily; I know at one point he dropped over $100 at once, and if he made other purchases he may have spent more. In any case, he was the first among us to quit the game. He was absolutely enraged when changes to the game impacted the perceived value of the items he had spent real money acquiring. I don't want anyone to misconstrue anything I say as an endorsement of RMT, but I still have to say: you are dead wrong if you really believe RMTers never have any problems with changes. If anything, they have the most invested out of anyone — their builds actually cost them money. And as anyone who's ever bought a car knows, just because you had money to buy things doesn't mean you have money to buy things. 100%, completely untrue. And a very short-sighted understanding of RMTs.
There will always be suckers to dump the (now-nerfed) inventory onto. And there will always be exploits/bots to replenish the latest OP items, for any patch version. Never underestimate the ability of some people to be dumber than ever, and other people to be smarter than ever. You clearly don't understand how RMT farms and business models are setup. |

"We're talking about RMT "kids" — that is, the buyers — here. I understand the sellers will be fine regardless, but that isn't the current topic. How about this? The life/mana leech gems work as earlier and the life/mana leech from physical attacks works in the new way. This way it ensures that people have to sacrifice at least 1 link for the support gems.
High physical dmg builds had a huge advantage because they cud get only 2% life leech on gear and still be able to sustain 6 linked skills. I had a BoR cycloner that cud sustain 250 life cost cyclone with just 2% life leech on gloves, which is not fair to elemental damage characters. Most casters on the other hand have HUGE mana requirement (or life if using BM gem), and the nerf hit the casters pretty bad. |

" Well the point is. As a caster mana-reg should be a more viable option to sustain your mana. However it isn't right now. So without finalizing that part (and at least the caster-part of the skilltree will undergo some changes) the changes feel a bit hard to discuss on. They make sense in terms of attackers. Spellcasters simply need other options than leech to be viable. |

Most spells hit multiple times per use (AoE/Multi-target/Pierce/etc) - they need to put a MGoH gem into the game that works with spells (and attacks?) so that people can take advantage of this now that the leech has been wrecked. Also, let LGoH work with spells.

With so much community uproar about nerfing leech you'd think GGG would just revert the changes? Seems like a lot of builds are unviable now due to these nerfs. Really unfortunate. :(
