I was already managing mana, even with the old mana leech. And if I invest more points in mana that mean I lose dps or ES. Then that's a CI/Caster nerf, and they really don't need that as it's already non-OP builds. CI/Casters need a buff, not a nerf. Or maybe they balance the game for lvl 60 builds?

investing in mana regen is considered a last resort as it is the least effective and efficent method.

It requires both the investment of passives in mana cap AND mana regen where as leech only needs max mana.

not to mention it almost requires clarity which means gem slot down.

Me too - several mana nodes, regen on items, flasks and even clarity on occaision. None of which can save me now.

Thanks for the replies everyone! It makes sense to shift the balance of power every now and then but destroying characters isn't the way to do it. We put hours, months, into these characters. They ARE the game. My build was a thousand miles from OP, but he was surviving, barely, and the strength of the game's passive system is that I felt I'd earned his survival. Every map I conquered was down to hours of agonising, farming, a sacrifice here for a stronger gain there. You know how it works. When you solve a puzzle you're meant to move on to another puzzle. You're not supposed to get right to the closing stages, right to where it's finally coming together, and then have the whole thing torn up to make it more 'interesting'. A lot of people complain about having to start again to respec because they got it wrong. Well I got it right, or right enough, under my own steam and my own design, and now I've got to start again anyway (no quick fixes for this). Well THAT'S not right. And that completely undermines my trust in the game./end rant

With the new Leech System in place, what do people think of of changing potions to always work, even when at max health?

I'm not trying to be fan-boyish. But My main from dom had 2% mana leach from tree .... and that's it ... nothing more ... I ran 3 auras on my mana, ending up with approx ~90 mana. and 5 linked my main skill. I also had ~3 aps. And I could continuously attack without running out of mana. The same goes for life leech. I had zero ... exactly ZERO life leech running 72-75 maps with a glass cannon.

Stop relying on the overpowered things that everyone uses and when they get nerfed you wont even notice ;)

show your tree maybe? so we can see how many points went into mana and how many into dps/es?
