So frustrating that the same mistake is repeated in every D2 clone

Loot system is very nice imo.

I keep finding stuff to upgrade my characters and the real good stuff is just very hard to find. As it should be.
For me it's actually one of the reasons I keep playing this game.
While searching for the good uniques I find orbs to roll my own good items and upgrade others.
The whole socketing / chroming / orbing RNG system is really well found and keeps me entertained for a long time!

I can not take this guy seriously.

Don't worry, nobody takes him seriously.
Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.

Pvp was endgame for some. It was boring for me. So pve content was perfect for me.
As skills alone were enough to make something viable. Items added onto the flow of the game. Making the basic grinding experience, which was awesome, even more perfect.
So stop talking about pvp, hardly anyone I played with even did pvp as it was simply too boring.

If PvP was really that boring, D2 would have lasted 2-3 years the most, just like D3. PvP is still the main feature from that game, i can remember PvP games up for 20+ hours, yet i've never seen any other PvE games last for more than 3-4. Even now there are tons of duel games in NL.

If i were in GGG, i would implement a decent PvP fast. Because it's the feature that keeps most of the players interested in the game, specially with a competitive/rewarding PvP. D3 failed to understand this and kept idiotic PvP system :/

Btw, i can agree about skills: in D2 you had the skill tree to make a build viable; in PoE you have your entire build. The concept is the exact same. A good build can handle the game very easily without the megatop of the gear like Kaoms/voltaxic/any 6L item.

D2 and PoE share the same concept: if you fuck up the build, you fuck up in the game. PoE is just a little more unforgiving since it has a real "hard" PvE (aka maps)

I played PVE for ten years, so did a huge number of people I played with. Granted, it's less now, but it's still a large amount of people.
I pulled those people from D2 to try out POE, all went away after a month or two because poe's PVE is frustrating and simply not fun due to gearchecks and a lot of other things.(mainly gearchecks).

And the reason all those other pve games fail is because they focus on loot and artificially extend the game to the point of breaking(like quest checks, slow xp, etcetera).
And this game does indeed not allow people to fuck stuff up. They also allow zero experimentation unless your gear can carry the build. Which takes too long to grind. And most people can't be arsed.

So, again, pvp wasn't endgame for most people. It was however endgame for you and your friends. But don't generalise. As it's simply not true.

Go ahead, it's what kids do, group up and bully just one person if there's an opportunity.
It makes them feel powerful, but when they're lonely... they cry... :DDDD

Either we just defined a whole new level of sadomasochism, or this guy has just gone through 8 pots of glue.
