So frustrating that the same mistake is repeated in every D2 clone

Getting uniques isn't a problem for me. I don't think I ever played through normal without getting at least one. However, typically, the rares I find are much better, so I think your frustration is mostly a result of your perception that uniques are somehow the most desirable items in the game. That was (almost) true in D2, but (with a few exceptions) not in PoE.

Be glad you don't have my playtime doing this shit 24/7 lol

I just don't understand why the devs don't want people to have good gear. Having played torchlight 2 as recently as last week, it's like night and day. This game does a lot of things better but if they fixed the drop rates and had more item variety and not just 20 junk magical items from every boss it'd be fantastic.

Not even half the uniques are good for most builds. Most uniques are build enabling. Did you even check out rare items? Why does everything need to be handed to you so easy? You played through once and didn't get a unique.. I do 5-6+ hours of races a day and wont see a unique.

There's no indication of GGG ever doing this, ever. They are anti-P2W.

Chances are, if you had gotten a unique, you would have complained that it wasn't decked out in stats to let you wtfpwn everyone. A lot of the common uniques aren't immediately appealing (like Aruku Tiki or Agnamon's Gold Necklace) because you have to realize how to best exploit their stats.

You don't want good items, you want best in slot items - for almost no effort.

Any unique which could be great for certain builds will be worth more. Useless ones will be used for alch or 1 chaos or race or vendor. Simple as that.

I vendor at least 40 uniques a day on a weekend. I got 3 Veil of the Nights yesterday and 3 Doedre Tenures and 3 of that new level 7 hatchet with chance to flee. No redbeaks, though, so I missed out on the royal shit flush.

d3 went overboard with this. In d2 xpac, runes were king. Those were damn near impossible to find, keep the loot hard to get ggg!!
