So frustrating that the same mistake is repeated in every D2 clone

You have the worst posts on this forum by far.

At least I'm best at something.

Best at talking down to people and insulting them I've reported you to about 6 mods now. I hope you get what you deserve.

All you do is talk shit to people lol

I wonder what your reasons for report was since I haven't (still) insulted anyone. "This mushioov guy is talking too much sense here, we can't refute his logic and we are losing arguments here! Mods pls come help!"

Edit: This witch-hunt against me is getting ridiculous. People report me because they don't agree with me. What the hell?

Nice arguments you've presented in those last few posts.

Diablo 2 learned this lesson a decade ago, that the game just isn't as fun or good as it could be if you don't get good items.

You did not get items like Griffon's and Death's Web in a single play through. If you are lucky, Wizardspike and Shako were fairly easy to get.

I'm constantly boggled whenever people attempt to make comparisons to D2. Have any of you ACTUALLY played D2? The drop rates on higher TC's were ridiculous and if the game were released today, all you whiners would still be complaining about how your entitlement demands the drop rates be changed so you can easily get a Griffon's Eye on every sorc you create.

The problem here isn't the game, but how perceptions have changed over the last 15 years.

This is how I played D2: Solo, offline. I installed that add-on thingy that gave you a gazillion stash tabs. I started off with a zealot on /players 8, all the way through normal and nightmare, then /players 5 or 3 in hell. Perfect balance between difficulty and drops.
Somewhere during hell I started to make other chars depending on the drops I got with my zealot.
When I finished, my zealot was in the late 80s, and I usually had 3-5 other chars somewhere between lv50 and lv70. Took me about 8-10 weeks.
Then I quit and the next time I played I deleted all my chars and the stash and started fresh.
Did that about 4-5 times.

Never, ever did I get the feeling that the droprates were bad. I usually had every single low to midlevel set complete, some good pieces of the higher ones, tons of uniques of all kinds, tons of low to midlevel runes and sometimes the higher ones and tons of all the rest, like charms and gems, that you could get in D2.

What I usually didn't have, was the ultra-rare stuff. Perfect charms, perfect high-end uniques, etc. But that didn't bother me. There was so much to do with all the other stuff that it really didn't matter.

But I know you don't care. Talking about "all you whiners" is telling enough.

Ok, basically you're saying you never played D2 you know? you're also talking about a mod??? wtf??? have you ever played D2 online WITH the real PvE endgame (uber runs) and PvP (true endgame where you needed top items)??

D2 PvE was a complete joke. It seems drops are fine only because PvE was terribly easy. Then you start PvP: "oh right let's go PvP with peasant crown and aldur boots" and then, after you get shredded 5734563478 times, you understand what the true D2 endgame was and what TRUE endgame gear is.

Or you're telling me that you had all the BASIC PvP items playing self-found offline? you had Enigma, Hoto, mara, Spirit (impossible offline btw) and 2x sojs? don't think so.

Drop rates from D2 are WORST than PoE drop rates regarding endgame gear, you must understand this. Be humble and listen to REAL D2 player with REAL D2 experience on REAL D2 endgame.

And don't say "ahah i don't care about PvP so it's not endgame"; because PvP IS D2 endgame, for the simple fact that is the only place/feature where you really need endgame gear to success. All other PvE can be done with mediocre gear.

Go tell a D2 player "im endgame i farm uber trist!!", then watch him die by laughers. I'm really tired of fake D2 players trying to make D2:PoE comparisons

PS: here, take the """""good""""" drop rates of D2: http://diablo2.ingame.de/tips/calcs/dropcalc/dropcalc.php?lang=en&patch=110&mode=lod&interface=default&window=true

Last boss, 8 players, 500 MF: chance to drop endgame amulet "mara's kaleidoscope": 0.0370825%

Chance to drop Jah rune (for Enigma): 0.0021401%
Chance to drop Ber rune (for Enigma): 0.0019164%

From hell bovines, one of the best farming zone for HRs, Jah rune drops like crazy!!! an astonishing 0.0001529%!!!

PPS: /players 8 doesn't work online in Bnet too :D so cya iiq from 8 players

Loot system is very nice imo.

I keep finding stuff to upgrade my characters and the real good stuff is just very hard to find. As it should be.
For me it's actually one of the reasons I keep playing this game.
While searching for the good uniques I find orbs to roll my own good items and upgrade others.
The whole socketing / chroming / orbing RNG system is really well found and keeps me entertained for a long time!
Pvp was endgame for some. It was boring for me. So pve content was perfect for me.
As skills alone were enough to make something viable. Items added onto the flow of the game. Making the basic grinding experience, which was awesome, even more perfect.
So stop talking about pvp, hardly anyone I played with even did pvp as it was simply too boring.
Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.

It's a matter of perspective. In the many years I played D2, I never once engaged in PvP (early on there was corpse popping, later on there were better games to PvP in). Of the people I played with (the old crew from alt.games.diablo and .diablo2), not one person did PvP.

PvP may well have been the D2 end game for you. I'd wager that for almost everyone else (of the people who played D2), PvP was never even something they participated in. *My* end game was to play ironman in HC with quirky builds and creative gearing restrictions, as well as trying to find a Windforce, which I never succeeded at. (Without boosts and botting.)
