So frustrating that the same mistake is repeated in every D2 clone

Same thing applies to map drops, but you seem to feel differently with regards to that.

My problem is that I always get level 1 uniques at level 80+. I have miles and miles of silverbranches and hrimsorrows and crowns of thorns, and never see anything like a Kaom's or a Shavronne's or a Soul Taker. When 95% of the uniques that drop are 60 levels below the content dropping it, it gets annoying.

They still give way more shards when vendored than rare items, in most of the cases.

The point is, you can easily get leveling uniques for rerolling new characters.

How is any of that a bad thing?

Too bad you didn't see those 3 dropped, but the game isn't revolving around them.
Only Shavs are the build enablers, and the nerfed versions aren't THAT expensive, you can get one for 30 ex.
30 ex is not impossible at all, start looking for great items in rare items, not just Kaoms and co.
You'd be surprised how easy is to get exalted orbs from selling rare items.

Expand your view guys, you're like mindless parrots here on forum.

Item drops are fine.

How is that a same thing? Deeply explain, please.

You are never guaranteed to get another map, just as you are never guaranteed an item after crafting.

Maps, however, are items, and you can buy them from other players. Complaining about maps is no different than complaining about items.

I feel a BAZINGA or EUREKA hanging in this thread. :D!

Not sure what one it will be.

The burnout thing is a silly argument. I have all of these items mentioned, and I still play like crazy a year later. The issue I have is what I went through to get these items, because the chances of them just dropping from playing is so small. Instead its farm alteration shards and chaos for days on end. THAT is what causes burn out. Not having good items.

This is a solid argument for burn-out, i don't really burn-out on "monster slaying" since that's the reason i come to play in the first place. Having a decked out character is boring seems to be a consensus when talking about burn-out on these forums, i really don't understand that lol.

that's like saying i have 5 lvl 85 chars with "medium" gear, now i'm done with the game. Fuck new builds, fuck optimization, fuck just you know enjoying your theory-craft function? :D

why start gaming in a monster slaying based game if having a decked out char that essentially slays monsters at high speed is boring :p? that's pretty counter intuitive :p?

Yup, getting to the point where you can gear up with all the adequate gear is what's causing burn-out.

Don't use the term "good gear" on the general discussion forums, people will come in and call you a casual that demands BiS gear for saying this.

It's not productive, better start using "medium gear" to illustrate your point, without getting hammered by the "casual hit squad"

Edit : haha nice one :D! (yeah i noticed)

So, you're saying leveling process is the same as gear? It's a matter of convenience that maps are trade-able items in this game, yet they have nothing else in common with gear.

This is also the first game where you have to be lucky in order to progress (more efficiently) even though you can handle the harder content, and if you're not lucky (most of the time) you either have to play lower level maps in order to try to get lucky to gain again the higher content.
Or, you can buy harder monsters.
Brilliant system, it disgusts me every time I think of it.

And now you're saying that is the same as gear?
Please, tell me again that it's the same thing so I won't ever reply to your posts in the future.

People craft maps to get worthwhile rolls without any promise that they'll get anything (another map) as a result.

Same as rolling gear with no promise of getting anything worthwhile (sockets, mods, links, etc).
