Regardind the Standard League and the Hardcore league

You are probably not aware that there are items such as Shavronne's Revelation is a ring which was droppable only during the fucking onslaught and anarchy leagues, and now it's not droppable anymore ANYWHERE, so it's just the same exact thing of the legacy items. Why is nobody crying about league only items?

Other little examples:




Fucking ilvl 100 items from races (with alternate arts and shit)

Soo yeahm you basically can't get anymore an ilvl 100 onyx amulet and shit like that. Extremely unfair too? Of course. Anyone whining about it? Not at all.

So please, stop with this fucking bullshit of legacy items, you are just jealous and that's all. Rest in scrubscore, where jelly people belong to.

I'm fairly worried that people do not understand what things like "active accounts" means... Not everyone plays this game every hour. Not everyone plays this game every day. An active account may play once or twice a month. That makes the 1.6-2 million figure absolutely feasible.

Also, just as with Anarchy and Onslaught, the leagues have matured. This causes a drop in player activity. When the new leagues begin most of the player base will return pushing the numbers back up.

There are people leaving for the reasons posted in this thread. However, it is not very many people. More likely people are leaving because the leagues have matured or they have found a new game to dump hours into.

Guess I'll put on my helmet and get ready for all the "PoE is dying posts" sure to come up till the new leagues hit...

It's only because +4 stat aren't important.
But I guess +500 HP from legacy kaom is quite noticeable.

My take on this business? they should just delete standard and hardcore league. Why? they are pretty useless. People don't want to play when their characters gets deleted? well too bad. Most people play nemesis and domination. You can say "Oh but some people like standard because they dont have the time to restart". Well, I know married man and woman who have kids who play nemesis or domination. Why? Because they are overall better leagues. The "standard has better economy" is bullshit. Just delete those leagues, all they cause is trouble.

it would be nice if GGG released figures of how many mirrors are currently on each server....I do know ppl hide them away from the public...I've seen 1 guy with 10 mirrors that's the highest I've seen with all the RMT going on people hide a lot of there currency for reasons blatantly obvious...there the smart ones flying under the radar never drawing to much attention to themselves

Standard is also where a lot of higher financial supporters like to play.

And to be perfectly blunt: Do you REALLY think anyone is going to get all three of my uniques in a 4 month league? The base sword is already at the highest rarity for uniques, and you'll need four to own my swords.

Standard isn't going anywhere, because GGG's perspective is so much wider than yours. Thank goodness.

Haven't people gotten your swords for the unique challenge tho?

Where does one do this sort of trading between leagues? I've never played standard league, only played on domination. I don't ever see myself paying standard because you end up in an economy where people have been accumulating wealth for years. Keeping legacy items is also a strange decision by the developers. It makes me want to play standard even less.

So I'll stick to the 4 month leagues and sell my items in standard for a kick start in the next 4 month league.

I agree, I will probably give all my items away and start fresh like I like to! hope someone in hardcore (or standard in case I die) enjoys my BoR/aegis build!

4 Month leagues are 'beta' leagues where GGG test out things that they might want to put in the real game.
