Regardind the Standard League and the Hardcore league

The Standard League

I think you guys should decide if default standard is the "garbage" league or if you guys actually care about it.

Standard league economy is already bad as it is but it gets a lot worse when items come from HC,Nemesis.

The game is already running for a decent ammount of time i think you guys have enough data to notice that most HC players end up making new HC characters when they die, so why don't you guys just erase their character (along with their gear) for good instead of messing (even more) with standard economy (ppl give items away/sell/sell to rmt)?

Legacy Items is another problem that some people usually says "legacy items ends up in standard so it's fine". It's fine if you don't play standard... Some legacy are insanely stronger that the current uniques and some of the legacy don't even drop anymore. That is really bad for a game where it is basically grind, grind, grind for gear. That gear exist, but you WILL NEVER have access to it, while some people have plenty of them stocked. I mean, if it is a really rare and expensive unique, you still have the chance (even if a false chance)to get it, but when the item is gone (either nerfed or simply gone) you don't have this "chance" anymore and that can be quite frustrating.

In the other hand I've seem some glass cannon builds nerfs going around, builds that are strictly standard league build as you can easily end up killing yourself with them (no use in "permadeath" league), so that is a start, maybe?

I don't have the numbers but based on global/trade chat activity i could say standard is, by far, the most active league, yet sometimes i see it being treated as the "garbage league", i really don't get this.

The Hardcore League

What is the meaning of permadeath in the game? I believe it supposed to be an extra dificult added to the game right? But i fail to see the "HARD" from hardcore if you can simply alt+f4 when you know you are going to die. Most online games have a log out "timer". Why don't you guys add a log out timer to HC leagues? Because right now, lets be honest, any kid can set up a macro to alt+f4 in one hotkey and that is what a lot of people are doing, some are even using bots to automatically do it when their hp reach a certain value.

Because Alt F4 is intentional, devs have said so. Besides there is a forum here where you can trade your standard currency to HC currency at 2:1 ratio, so someone could never step foot into HC and then join the league with a Kaoms/Soultaker/Shav etc waiting for them if they played long enough in SC. It's not worth worrying about.

The "magical Alt F4 pony of infinite god mode" isn't what you think it is. 99% of deaths in HC are instant. No one is sitting in a pool of poison or watching C Blood eat their health down, just so that they can Alt F4. All of my HC deaths have been to instant spike damage or some off the wall hardcore desync. 2 people in the top 20 died in Nemesis today, and I'm sure it wasn't to them watching ignite damage burn them down for 30 seconds.

As far as HC items getting dumped into Standard, who cares? I mean honestly, there are guys who literally have HUNDREDS of Mirrors. Standard is is a year worth of duped orbs, 24/7 bots, multiboxing, Legacy items, and the throwup of dead leagues. Listen to what the designers are saying when they talk about the different leagues, and look at the direction other leagues are going while Standard continues to become a bigger slop bucket. Standard is and always will be the Open Server D2 version of PoE. No insults to anyone who plays there, but don't be delusional about what it is you're playing.

Well a GGG rep said a Mirror drops every few days per server, right? Let's say you look at one of the several players on Standard who have 200+ Mirrors. Even if 1 of them were to find every single Mirror by himself(meaning no one else has ever found one, and none have ever been used to Mirror something) for the entire year since the last wipes, he still couldn't have that many. Do you really think that the guys showing that many Mirrors just found them all by doing a bunch of Piety runs? Bigger companies and bigger governments have been hacked into, so let's not be so naive as to believe that this game is impenetrable. Hacks in games are like steroids in sports, the cheater is always 1 step ahead.

No, I think RMT is a much simpler explanation, if we're going to step outside the boundaries of the 'game'.

Optimistically speaking, you could say it's a LOT of aggressive trading, but like I said, RMT would be the likely explanation for defying the math you've attempted there.

The rest of your words are anecdotal and supposition, nothing more. Certainly nothing passing for a citation.

Well we both know that this is another attempt at you attacking me over and over again. I know that you're waiting for me to one day get angry and retaliate with the same unwarranted insults you've thrown at me numerous times, but as I've said before, it's not going to happen. Honestly, these unprovoked attacks are becoming quite childish Charan.

On topic, "RMT is why there are multiple players with hundreds of Mirrors". Again, if a GGG rep said that 1 Mirror drops per server every few days on average, then how can there be that many Mirrors?

Let's take out the hundreds of Mirrored items, just in an attempt to prove your point. Let's take out every other player that owns a Mirror besides the handful that own hundreds. Now let's be liberal with the number and say a Mirror drops every other day, hell let's say one drops every single day. Over the course of a year, that's 350-400 total Mirrors. Even with the most outrageous numbers in your favor, it still isn't plausible. That many Mirrors simply can't exist, regardless of how aggressive a trader might be. Fit 600 Mirrors on 3 accounts into 1 of them dropping every 3 days for 1 year per server. The extremely difficult "math I attempted" hopefully makes more sense now that I broke it down for you.

Just stop playing the game then.
people have duped stuff i dont have and this makes me angry the thread.
You know what would really solve everything?

Return legacy drops...

In Standard/HC modes.

Really, does anyone care? All it does now, is create a disparity between those that have, and those that have not.

Seriously, think about it.

Example:

Make all Koams Hearts drop at +1000 hp like the legacy version, but only in standard/HC.
These are the only areas where they continue to exist anyway, so why not just let everyone have their fun?

I play Domination, but this makes the most sense to me.
Why would you nerf items in standard league, where absolutely nothing matters? No one cares about what happens there, so just go with it.

These leagues are already considered lesser and such because of the disparity, etc, so why not just roll with it.

Then, just have new leagues etc use the updated 're-balanced' versions.

So simple.
I'm sure no one at all in Standard would give one iota.

Alt F4 actually prevent TONS of items to make their way to the graveyard. Your post makes no sense.

[Replying to bolded text]

The quote to which you are referring is at least a year old, and thus way, way out of date. Back then, we had what, maybe 200k active players at best (being very optimistic)? Now we have 1.6 million active players, which would mean that several mirrors are dropping per server per day. Combined with aggressive item flipping, it's not unlikely that a few people are amassing huge wealth completely legitimately.
