Why GGG_Neon promote the PERMA freeze mobs and bosses?

Now, lets try to find a logic in there by example, if there's a legacy Saffell's that gives 140% spell block and 10% to all maximum elemental resistances, and it's price now is 90 ex, wouldn't I in fact be glad that it even exists? Why would I want that item out of the game rather than try to obtain it and upgrade my gear? Or at least have a chance of upgrade. PvP problem with your 5 ex gear and then complain when you lose to someone who invested 200 ex in his? Really? This kind of games are about gear more than about "skill". Enjoy |

or just give bosses a freeze-immunity period after being frozen- or give thema stacking buff each time they are frozen that increases their max life for the purpose of freezing.
Perma-freeze-locking shouldn't be possible on bosses- but by the same token it should be possible to use freeze against them for some benefit. Talisman softcore IGN:disappointment

I still don't understand why GGG has not fixed this issue yet. Ever wonder why cold snap has a cool down? Because back in closed beta before traps and mines even existed we were perma freezing mobs with cold snap. GGG stated that perma freezing mobs was over powered so they added a cool down to cold snap.
I will say again GGG is trying to hard to push new content out the door much to quickly that they are loosing sight on what should be priorities at this time. GGG needs to slow down patches from the current 2 week cycle to at least a 1 month cycle. They also need to open a public testing server where all patches can be tested for 2 weeks by the masses after Alpha has tested the patch for 2 weeks. I have no idea why GGG don't care about current situation with this EZ mode, but i more don't get why GGG staff promote this LOL, no sense for me. Aaron Ciccheli, a guy who made millions running Diablo and PoE RMT sites, owns a significant portion of GGG. How's that for a conflict of interest? 7.5% of your supporter pack money goes to this guy.

" Well, people may want that items deleted because they are out of balance. While it's nice to have a potential upgrade there (like legacy Kaom in an upgrade for normal Kaom), the fact those items became legacy means they are no longer could be considered balanced, that's why GGG nerfed them (i mean, new version have inferior stats compred to old ones). And i see nothing wrong in nerfing stats of all legacy uniques, if it's a balance issue. Why we dont see there legacy Righteous Fire gems or legacy Spark gems, but see legacy Kaom and Soul Taker? Answer is simple - because GGG has issues with changing variable stats on items. Gems are simple, and they can be nerfed retroactively. Not uniques. Only because of inability of GGG to perform proper nerfing OP items (and buffing underpowered ones) we see legacy items in game. There are a LOT of wrong things in PoE, nevertheless i like it. But we shouldnt ignore all those inconsistencies and imbalances, otherwise we get a shitty and boring game. " Elemental cleavers and low-life RF casters were nerfed to boot. Their build turned into joke, and their gear (elemental swords, for example) became crap. Why legacy items should be different? Why one player's OP build and equipment turn to crap, while other's OP equipment remains unchanged, or even gets buffed (legacy Kaom was buffed via buffing life nodes, thunderfist was buffed via buff to Added Lightning Damage, etc)? And once again i want to remind. If you want to see a healthy economy, than RARES should be BIS items, not uniques. Why? Because uniques are found, but rares are CRAFTED. If crafted items wont be BIS, then currency will be useless, and PoE economy will be broken apart, prices for uniques will skyrocket, etc, etc. But when crafted gear is BIS, it cant be much more expensive than crafting cost, otherwise people will just use currency to create more BIS items instead of buying them. You will never see BIS rare weapon costing 3500 exalted orbs, for example, while eternal orb costs 2.5 exalted. Why? Because with 1000 tries, you will probably be able to craft that BiS item yourself. But legacy unique CAN reach such ridiculous price, because there is no limit on how high its price could be. I tried the combo and it seems to work more or less but I would not call it "OP". Mines have to be layed, and it's always at your feet so the flexibility and your movement is limited, then you have to wait and watch until a mob is in range and then you have to trigger the mine manualy. Takes tons off time imho.
Some people may enjoy it but that's not my style of gameplay, I like things fast and automated so I will prefer any Trap and especialy spell totems above mines. |

" Well, it isnt OP when you can kill stuff without it. But when you're weak, or just afraid of death (and Hardcore/Nemesis players are VERY AFRAID OF DEATH), you can quite easily "kill" stuff (boss) with skill and gear, that cant be compared to those needed to kill boss without it. And,i repeat once again: HOW KILLING 100% IMMOBILIZED STATUES CAN BE BALANCED OR FUN??? IGN: MortalKombat

"Some folks can and will say the same thing about bosses that endlessly spawn adds. I find that to be the most unfun thing possible and yet several bosses do that super ultra mega unfun thing. Balance is for budgets this game has tons of things that are imbalanced in design but it seems its rarity makes it somehow OK. I've seen builds that can trash anything and everything faster than most, including bosses, without having to freeze mine period but all their gear was rare/BiS items. So I can only assume that if your RICH your exempt from the LAW/game breaking builds. |
