I don't care how high the prices are or anything like that. They need to make money somehow so I will never complain about that stuff.
However I do have to agree that making people buy more from being 4 points away is silly. Just let people pay the exact dollar amount for the item.
People would still complain if the it was like this:
$5 - 50
$10 - 100
and the items we're priced at 5 coins higher.
No shit sherlock, that's just messing with numbers to achieve the same result.

Might as well make everything 1 coins higher.
Since what you trying to do (5 coins higher) is not far different from this.

I actually agree.
The 96 points crap is not very cool. Keep prices at even numbers, keep purchasing of shop currency as even numbers as well.

the price of the item (whether it's stash tabs or fun lizards) has not at all changed. you now simply have many options available to obtain the amount of GGGold you need to purchase said item.
you can:
a) spend the $ you have available to you today to get that item, but get the lower exchange rate that is on offer
or
b) wait until next week when you can use slightly more $ that you now have in your pocket to get the better rate
note: in neither of these situations did the item's original GGGold price change.
Everything you've said is off topic. We're talking about how the price of points have changed, not the price of items, you may want to read the OP before posting in a thread.
This.
Good lord.... the amount of people who just come in here and argue without understanding what the point of contention is... Read. The. Thread.
if you want to understand the issue, read the posts by me, lordperrin, PathofExileVideo, HolyDragon & folderpirate among others.

Ya.. a more appropriate analogy for a store would be like this when compared to GGG:
You can only spend money efficiently in our store if you have $20 or more, if you have less than that you're screwed because we hate poor people.
It's the same as in every other f2p model as stated before. And you can still buy stuff with the $5 and $10 packages, but yes you're losing a bit or have some leftovers but just SAVe the leftovers for later? Does it really hurt THAT bad?
No, as stated before, it's not the same in every F2P game. Dota 2 for example.
Dota2 is used with Steam if i remember correctly, so yes that uses the steam wallet. This is a game produced/published by GGG. Dota 2 is published by Valve (Steam) they have different systems. If you're gonna argue over the fact that every other game uses a different system then i'm done argueing...

Yup, I swear all these trolls responding and defending this horrible point allocation at the 5 and 10 dollar levels are incapable of basic math.
Well, it's like I implied earlier, this scam is very effective when your customers don't value their money. Which means this scam shouldn't be applied to a FREE TO PLAY GAME. You know, the kind of game people play to gain VALUE for their MONEY.
It's not very smart to try to scam people that appreciate value.
I think I have being tolerant (to a limited extent) of the various penny-pinching trolls, but apprently you have pushed me over the edge. Your apparent gripe is not with the price of items, but rather the point allocation, that being that the $5 pack = 46 points and the $10 = 96 points. Push aside all the other 'optional' arguments, and consider the facts. You are playing a free to play game. FREE. Chris put in a shitload of his own money, worked on it for 5 years without remuneration and you get the fruits of his labour for FREE. But you are complaining about the price change from yesterday to today of 4 points, aka 40 cents. 40 CENTS! Are you fucking kidding me? Not just complaining, but quite emotively calling it a scam, thereby impying GGG and therefore the people that work for it are underhanded and greedy. You have got to be the dumbest, most self-entitled, fuckwit I have ever come across, EVER! do us all a favour, uninstall and then go jump off a cliff, because you are clearly the sort of bogan that contributes nothing, expects to be handed everything, and then complains when what he/she is given is not enough.
And Given that your standard comeback to people who disagree with you seems to be to call people stupid, I will take the time to provide you with my tertiary qualifications:
LLB/LP, Bcom, LLM and a 1/3 of a PhD. Feel free to post yours when the inevitable response comes back.

I wish trollbutt had phraed the thread title more accurately so that people stop coming into the thread to defend GGG's honor as if they knew what they were talking about :p

yes. yesterday the stash tab pack was $15. today it's $20. maybe price gouging isn't the correct term semantically, but, they did increase the price of the stash tab pack.

I thought somebody just argued by using some "F2P" games?
