The obvious micro transaction cash grab?

I'm a bit confused too.
I can see the point of the people that complain and i can see the point of people that are fine as it is. I'm now confusing myself hehe.

get a job if you want a shiny sword or helmet.

if you no life and play video games all day then you have a great game for free.

poe's microtransactions are perfect the way they are. no items or currency are sold.

anyone complaining at this point just likes to complain.

At this point, no one is even reading what the complaint is about. Including you.

Just Be happy the game is free to play. GGG could of made it like D3 paying the 60 bucks to buy it then charging all this money for cosmetic stuff. Or it could be like wow paying monthly and on top of what they charge for cosmetic things. If you dont like the prices dont buy the expensive stuff not that hard.

Again. Being free to play doesn't give you any advantage/excuse to ignore flaws.
and what you been saying is not even related to the topic.

i wanna repeat again.
whoever think we should instead get the $20, and you can't get it because you're poor, etc.
totally proved that you disagreed with the $5 and $10 package too!

Actually, that's not true either. It's just economically smarter to go with the $20 package. Are you seriously telling me GGG is the first business to make certain bulk purchases better value than smaller ones?

Goodness me.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

But that's not the only point it's also you're losing money buying the lower tier packages and you will be rewarded a bit after the $20 packages.

This practice is used in pretty much anything you buy.

Take carbonated drinks for example. Buying such in cans in convenient, you can take the can wherever you go, you don't have to lug around a 2 liter...it's easier, it's convenient...at the cost of getting less for your money. While buying in bulk usually rewards you with an additional savings.

No different, you're going to pay more for convenience - it's convenient to buy 5 and 10 dollar packs. It's a lot more of a commitment to buy larger packs, but due to such a commitment and less of a convenience you obtain a discount.

I'm a little confused myself. If the break-even point is $20, which is the price Torchlight 1 was at from memory, and most would agree this game is worth at least that, why not just buy a $20 GGGold pack and get precisely what you paid for, and then call it a day?

And if you want more later, just buy another $20 package later rather than short-changing yourself with smaller packages more frequently.

I dunno, this shift is somewhat surprising. People were begging for a way to get into the closed beta/support and GGG made a nice chunk of cash off that, and that was for a game that didn't have Act 3 at all.

Now that the game is truly free to play, with Act 3, improved graphics and audio, etc etc...people are complaining because the optional stuff is somehow overpriced, be it the GGGold packages or the pets/effects?

Sorry, just not seeing the logic here.

The logic within is,
There's a mistake, we point it out.

Somebody's disagree with our opinion.
We reply them.

In fact, the point is simple and already stated it all on the first page.
the rest is just trolls and arguments.

And, during CB, the $10 gave u beta key and 100 points, not nothing and "96" points.
Its easy...

i want buy soemthing for 50 pts so i want spend 5$. Atm GGG is forcing me to spend 10$ in that case.

I will not buy anything unless i can buy 5$ worth item by spending EXACLY 5$ not more.

And this have nothing to do with no P2W, F2P, philosophy and other things like that.

The only reason i see why GGG did this is to kind of reward the people who have supported the game in closed beta and bought the supporter packs or bought a closed beta key.

They spend 10$ for the closed beta key and 100 points, they helped supporting GGG with that bit of money to get the game developed up to this stage.

You are coming here in open beta, after GGG did their advertising, articles in ign etc. you didn't have to spend 10$ to download the game, you don't really need points to play the game, allthough it means u need to be a bit carefull with what to put in ur stash tabs, but it's doable (other games like D3 had what? 3 stash tabs).

I'm sorry but don't cry about getting 96 points for 10$ if you or anyone else want, you can play this for free, 0 items that you can buy with ur cash will make you win the game, the only thing it will do is make ur character look better or give u some more stash space to stock up gems or some armour you think will be usefull for ur next character(s).

Alot of people in here have been playing/giving feedback/supporting by buying kiwi packs months before open beta got launched, they helped GGG and i think that's the reason why GGG gives them this small bonus.

If you think it's not fair, well welcome in the real world, it won't be the last time that things happen and you think they are not fair for you and favor others.

This isn't CB, and devs stated that you wouldn't get as much in OB.

I totally agree that's why i don't have a problem with it. I can see the point of other people that's just how i am as a person. I'm a bit confused myself too, i'm just thinking of a way to try to improve it so everyone could be happy so that this thread can be closed. (my other post was quite a nice system to be honest.)

christ on a bike... I don't mind the camp that is actually debating against the point being made in the thread, but I wish these kinds of comments would just stop.

No one even reads the OP. They just see a post about a concern and jump in to flame anyone with legitimate and valid points. Points that have been proven and shown again and again. Everyone has this gang mentality of "any concern is whining" that NEEDS TO STOP.
