I give u an example, so u understand that u r just a lame whiner:

EXAMPLE:
There is a company offering the game "TENNIS". Everythging is for free for the players: The courts, the rackets, the balls, no maintanence fees, nothing costs anything, they even offer colorful rackets, but now they need a little money to finance all that and offer some more colors to the already existing rackets and thats where YOU start complaining about HOW they price it, rofl!

HOW they are asking for the money is completely up to them and calling it a scam or underhanded or whatever is a joke. It's called business and they are keeping this necessary evil as far out of the game as possible, yet u complain about something that isn't even NECESSARY TO HAVE and just because YOU WANT IT SO BADLY THAT U ARE ANGRY ABOUT HOW THEY PRICE IT....that's called "whining".

The problem wasn't the pricing... until they changed it without notifying anyone.

I can see why people find it weird that they come a bit short and they need to buy another package just for that little bit but how about u buy a pack now SAVE it and buy another pack later? Is saving up really THAT bad nowadays?

not saving up is bad.
we are trying to say.
Why even have the $5 and $10 if we gonna save up to $20 anyway?
don't they have to rethink about this 2 flawed package?

...you are complaining about the price change from yesterday to today of 4 points, aka 40 cents. 40 CENTS! Are you fucking kidding me?...

omg is this argument for real? :o

Zinger86, it's not a matter of 40 cents. It's a matter of $4.50 actually, if you want to buy something worth 50 points. If you read through the thread, you'll understand why that is so.

They cannot possibly offer every denomination, and price every item in such a way that does not permit a slight carry over of points. The fact is you can buy a number of items for less than 46 points and plenty for 96. Literally every game I have ever associated myself with have had a near identical 'alternate currency' policy, that is you get progressive more points, therefore meaning that you inevtiably have a small surplus. Almost every company in Australia does not permit trasnactions of less than $10 for the exact reason that GGG is trying to encourage you to buy more (the transaction costs are relatively much more expensive). I could point out that you don't lose the $4.50, you can purchase something else with it. I am actually completely and utterly baffled by the apparent rage of someone 'wasting' $4.50, which they don't have to spend. I am not some millionare, I earned 40k as a PhD student last year, but at the end of the day $4.50 means that I forgo a 2l bottle of coke for a day. Life goes on. I appreciate the fact that from what I have seen, you have made constructive criticisms, which your entitled to. But anyone (as many have) who uses the word greedy, scam or something equally derogatory in relation to GGG should take a long hard look at themselves and you will find the community that helped POE to where it is today, want no part of their self entitled, purile, whinging nonsense. Almost all the complaints are from non beta members, meaning they paid $0 and almost all the positive comments are from people who paid for it, of which the praise gets particularly more glowing the more money someone contrbuted to the game. This should put some perspective about what they should expect for the contribution of $0.

Would you be happier if there wasn't a $5 and $10 package?
and the smaller packages are there for people who wanna buy the small things aka the 25 coin frogs etc. Yes people lose a bit of money, but isn't that a fact when you spend money on cosmetic stuff? ;)

That's why we are here bringing up this problem to GGG's attention?

And i would be happier when the $5 and $10 package is back to their normal price.
or at least it is acceptable.

Funny, the same thing could be said about you.
It would be better maybe to put in a system where you put in an certain amount of money and it automaticly compensates that too coins. But it's day one of Open Beta, GGG is still finding what works best for all of us give them a little break and i'm sure they'll improve. Just hold with buying coins if you don't like it now, i can see why everybody wants some right now cause it's new but yeah you gotta hold for now if you don't like it.

oh, really? enlighten me please if you will.
Else i will have to ask you to take back your words and give me a sincere apology.
Guys the fact that this is a free to play game has nothing to do with a messed up pricing model. It was stupid when xbox did it and its stupid now honestly.

I am completely behind GGG making money but why can't they do it simply by having awesome cosmetics to purchase? Why did they feel that they needed to do this weird system that pushes people to spend more sort of like what carnivals do?

Just wanted to make one more post. I really don't care enough about this to argue it.
