Get rid of 1 Week Races

My proposition still is: Have a variety of different races with different rules to cater to different people. Don't ban one week races.

+1, I'm going with that ...

I do understand some of the arguments against these kind of race, but really don't think that GGG should or has to regulate the time the players are playing.

I never will be able to compete with the top players, but will love to take part in week races just for my own goals, within my speed and timeschedule.

And as I also really liked to watch the insane competition (on stream, in chat, ...) in these last week races, I have to say that the management of time/sleep/concentration especially as a group is just part of the game.
Keep calm, play PoE, drink Tea & listen to Prog!

You can state your opinion, no problem :). But i personally do care, do you think GGG would liek to hear that some of their player died because he played too much. I don't think so, even if they are not responsible.

You want to litigate everyone's choice for them. Your *opinion* on the topic is that it is a morally unacceptable health risk for GGG to "impose" on its players. On the basis of your *opinion* you suggest limiting how the entire playerbase is able to play.

You remind me of politicians trying to legislate what people can and cannot eat.

Leave the races alone, the formats are fine.

This thread is retarded.

So many 'self-entitled' cry babies who feel the world owes them a favour starting to appear on these forums.

If you have a problem with the amount of hours you need to put in to stand a chance of winning a one hundred and sixty odd hour race then don't enter it.

Stick to the one, two or three hour events & stop trying to spoil other players fun.

Completely and utter pathetic....
Blasphemous HC-SSF Path of Exile 2 enjoyer.

Players should be regulated if the race is week long or something. Staying up for a week with very little sleep is reckless and stupid - GGG should support hardcores but not to the point that it's just whoever selfharms the most wins.

Races should either be a few days top or have a hard limit of x number of hours per day.

Yes, this. Excatly, what i am trying to say aswell here. Some people just lack morals in this thread i guess and are selfish, just looking for themselves.

When exactly has GGG sponsored this? i dont get you people that are trying to get stuff taken away from us cause u dont have the time or will power to compete. Just dont race in them, stop trying to ruin the people that enjoy its fun. This mentality to take stuff outta the game because some people dont have the time, or dont think its fair is dead wrong. Lack of morals? U have a lack of morals sir. U trying to restrict what another human does with there free time... Why is it so hard to just no compete in those events?

What about when someone dies? Don't pretend it's not likely because it very, very much is with competitions spanning a week or longer. Then will everyone all have a change of heart?

I'm fine with events spanning a day, two days, three days perhaps 5 days. It's when you start pushing up to a week that it's getting really damn dangerous.

I'm utterly in support of people being allowed to do as they will but I just don't see any reason why GGG would support this. It's just asking for controversy and negative press.

Everyone whining about health should get off the computer and get on a treadmill. Save your fake concern for yourselves, thanks.

That's why limitation would prevent that from happening. And stop being boring about fake concerns, i really don't care if i win some prize ever. I am just saying, that it is nice to prevent possibility of ever happening in POE.
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3

No, it's not likely if you are not a total idiot. And if you are, it is your own fault.

Your argument is pretty much like saying that people who sell alcohol should be responsible for the actions of people who drink alcohol and overdo it.

GGG is not the babysitter of it's player base.

If some dies playng a game it is there own fault... Not the games, not GGG's. In my opinion you have a rright as a human being to kill urself playing games if you so please...
