Get rid of 1 Week Races

I really think that 1 Week Races lead to account sharing and lots of hard feelings in the community.

Races should be as follows:

1 hour

2 hours

3 hours

4 hours

1 MONTH

The people who run the most win the long marathons........ /facepalm.
Anything longer than 3 or 4 hours encourages not just account sharing but people spending 30+ hours awake playing. So a month race would be pushing it a bit.

My personal preference would be, for a race that's a week long, limit an account to only being able to stay logged in for a maximum of 18 hours for every 24 hour day. Regulating the player to at least get 8 hours of sleep. Not only would it cut down on the risk of someone dying while playing (this has been a concern for a while now as we've seen people go insanely long time without sleep) but also make it a more fair playing field compared to the players who have a real world full time job, or schooling of some kind, or needs time with their family.
winner this week only had 5 days 22 hours played in a week, they say the 5place had 6 162 hours played lol
Telling adults they can't stay up and play if they want to is pretty rich. Might as well go play Hello Kitty Online

I think your suggestion is counter-intuitive. 18 hour game days are still a bit over the top. I would say anywhere in between 8-12 hours at the most play limit per day.

Overall I disagree with taking the 1 week out. It's a very good way to see what classes and builds need to be nerfed. Also if someone wants to play the most then why punish them?
I would like to see one month as well, it would require obscene willpower to keep up the amount of sleepless nights that people contribute to win these 1 week races, it will favor efficiency over the ability to stay awake ( you would have to have a more normal sleeping schedule ), and it would eliminate a TON of the RNG associated with the end game map system.

RNG is huge for 1 hour races as well on item drops and item rolls, but 1 hour isn't a huge investment. To lose a 1 week race due to RNG is maddening.
I think they should cancel all marathons because I don't have the ability to compete in them.

Do the races you can do. If you have a life and can't devote 5 out of 7 days to playing the game, just be happy that you have other things in your life that require your time.
In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.

It's not a matter of it being an "adult" or not. Google gaming deaths, in the last few years there are numerous cases where some gamer, adult or teenager both, have died because they went like 40+ hours without sleep and just constant gaming. At that point it's not a matter of "hey im an adult im gonna play dem gaimz for three days straight" as it becomes a matter of you risk killing yourself.

Plus, not everyone can "devote" playing 30+ hours in one stretch, in a race. It differs from the "marathon" example people like to point out, because in a marathon you sign up for it, and you all participate at the same time. A runner in a marathon doesn't worry about potentially not winning because he or she has to suddenly take a break from running to go work their 8 hour shift at their job, or go to class. The same should be for races, just because someone who has tons of free time shouldn't get a leg up compared to those that work, or have school.
