Get rid of 1 Week Races
" And you about being rude and ugly with your vocabulary knowledge. Its nothing wrong to limit the time and to give an option and fair play to all the players, who don't want to risk their health in longer races, but still want to compete in them. GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever. Players should be regulated if the race is week long or something. Staying up for a week with very little sleep is reckless and stupid - GGG should support hardcores but not to the point that it's just whoever selfharms the most wins.
Races should either be a few days top or have a hard limit of x number of hours per day. Edit: Just to clarify, I don't really care if people want to stay up for that length of time - that's their own daft decision. My point is that GGG shouldn't sponsor it by actively rewarding you for being outright unsafe. Imagine the headlines of "man dies of exhaustion after game encourages him to stay up 10 days straight!". If you want proper, good gameplay from players then they need to be well rested and not in some zombified state Last edited by Piggy#5547 on Jan 21, 2013, 11:59:21 AM

" Yes, this. Excatly, what i am trying to say aswell here. Some people just lack morals in this thread i guess and are selfish, just looking for themselves. " "Lack of morals?" ...right... Like people who enjoy sleeping with their own sex or people who drink alcohol for fun....or... I don't even really know how to repond to this. Is it really so hard to understand that there are people who do enjoy the challenge that the one week races are? If you do not like them and if you do not have the time for them, then that is -fine-! Nobody forces you to participate. |

Players should be regulated AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE
I don't understand this pathological need for some people to dictate how other people play. *IF YOU DISLIKE A FORMAT YOU ARE FREE NOT TO ENTER* *YOU ARE ABLE TO PLAY AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE AS YOU LIKE* *SOMEONE THAT IS WILLING AND ABLE TO DEVOTE 150 OUT OF 162 HOURS TO A RACE DOES IN FACT DESERVE TO PLACE HIGHER THAN YOU IF YOU PLAYED 40 OUT OF 162 OR EVEN 100 OUT OF 162* Everyone whining about health should get off the computer and get on a treadmill. Save your fake concern for yourselves, thanks. "Wait, what did I just drink?" - Socrates

" gay bashing is pretty lame bro. Not quite sure what you mean by this, but im assuming you mean that gay people dont have morals. On Topic: I think its lame because I do have a full time job and cannot do the races, I would like to but even if i did i would not have a chance of winning because I dont play for 19 hours a day or more. So that aspect of it really discourages me from playing in any race longer than a few hours. "Beta"

" I have no problem with people staying up all day and night for a week. I have a problem with GGG sponsoring this kind of idiocy by waggling carrots in the form of unique items in front of people. They're baiting people into hurting themselves. I have far more respect for the hardcore theory crafter that figures out how to maximise XP gain over a 6-48 hour race than I do the person willing to throw safety aside for a 168 hour race. I just don't see what's in it for GGG but bad press by supporting week long races that have unique rewards. |

" I was saying that people who bring "morals" into a discussion about how long people should be allwoed to play videogames are probably the same ones that would be opposed to same sex...sex.. or anything that is even -remotely- dangerous but fun for the exact same reasons. How can you not understand what I said as sarcasm? :p Please quote my whole post. Last edited by DasHenne#3578 on Jan 21, 2013, 12:24:59 PM

" That isn't lame, its life. If the race is that important to you, circle it on your calendar and request a week off for it. Its not other peoples fault that "you don't have a chance of winning because you don't play 19 hours a day" How about joining a race and playing as much as you are able and seeing how far you can get, instead of pouting and saying "I can't win so i'm taking my ball and going home" "Wait, what did I just drink?" - Socrates Last edited by mrmath#1493 on Jan 21, 2013, 12:28:24 PM

" You can state your opinion, no problem :). But i personally do care, do you think GGG would liek to hear that some of their player died because he played too much. I don't think so, even if they are not responsible. That's why limitation would prevent that from happening. And stop being boring about fake concerns, i really don't care if i win some prizer ever. I am jsut saying, that it is nice to prevent possibility of ever happening in POE. GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.
