One of the reason why i feel Garena's PoE is destined to fail.
PoE is not your every other game. Even Diablo 3, its possible to progress very far without heavily twinking your gear and optimizing your build out. Players from SEA that are interested and competent enough to play is already playing the SG Gateway, and those who don't wont play it regardless of a SEA release.
Plus, most of Garena's demographic are pre-adolescence players - i highly doubt those are PoE's core target demographic.

This move is simply dumb, why..? Most SG is a blizzard fan. Blizz announced RoS. GGG splits the SEA population. What GGG gets? A slap to your loyalty players, gain of free Riders. When RoS officially release, u lost both. Most SG never like ARPG or game that don't have fancyful stuff. When i introduce PoE to most of my friends, they will says eeee so ugly... I personally feel retain the existing old customers is better than trading us off for new ones. Most of them won't stay.
You need to understand the region.

Man this is so perfectly written and totally true.
I wasn't thinking of the impact of the D3 Expansion right at this moment but god damn that's totally right.
Not only SEA but whole ASIA impact.
I really hope this topic is being read by GGG and they start taking some decisions.
My father have worked with China for 20 years or more, i've been here for 2 years, and honestly, 99% of any company in this country is a total money leecher, customer support is non-existant, the term "quality of service" for sure is something nobody learns in university, if they can cheat they will cheat, if they can fuck you up after having a good relationship for 3 years, just to get a 5% more, they will.
Business man in China and probably in many asian countries are totally fucked up. I don't want to explain or prove it because actually it just benefits my work here.
I hope, I really hope, that GGG decision makers are thinking about what they are doing, AND PLEASE GET A GOOD LAWYER.

I just finished playing through act one on the garena poe server and here is what I found.
1. No portal scroll in your inventory at the start of the game and 1 portal scroll found throughout all of act 1.
2. Reduced currency and magic item drops. If I had to guess I would say about ~25% less for items and more than ~50% for currency.
3. Rude ESL speaking people in every chat channel.
4. Immaturity unmatched on the real poe servers.
I will not play on these servers. And I doubt many other people who have experienced the real game will either.

Sounds like POE for the Maple Story crowd.
Next up: 2x Exp cards, increased drop rate cards, and server-wide un-hide-able shouts to embarass oneself and the community.
