Hi GGG,Is the Singapore gateway removed?

I'm a Singaporean still playing through the Singapore gateway 15-30ms.
If you're lagging one thing i notice is that the ping is super sensitive to Steam. I personally don't play PoE through Steam but whenever someone else on the connection is using steam to download stuff the connection becomes super horrible. Even downloading torrents doesn't make it so bad. Basically the gateway is working fine. | |

I have tried the Garena POE version and I'd dare say that the community is pin-sized compared to what it is here in GGG. The GMs/Moderators are very amateurish and display a very negative and unprofessional image of the game. I do not quite understand why GGG decided to franchise the game to Garena but I am particularly certain that the POE version on Garena will die really soon. However, once they have, Im afraid that most Singaporeans that used to play on GGG and have been forced to make the move to Garena will be particularly disheartened and discouraged to continue this game any further.
Conclusion : Management in Garena's POE is extremely unprofessional, does not seem to be even customer-oriented ( only bothers about their own job scope ) and the community is too small to be even make POE a successful game in that community. Path of Exile requires a large community for it to be even viewed to be successful. More thread topics, more discussions, more trades and more ideas. This is what that has been keeping GGG's POE successful. Finding a party on Garena's POE is so much harder to the extent that if you even click on the find party screen, 80% of the time you'll find that you have none. Bad move from GGG IMO. You choose to give license to another company to run your game for a fee but you fail to see that in the longer term you lose a lot more customers ( and potential income ) and alot more faith in the company. If Garena fails to produce POE successfully and shuts down the game in the mid future, you lose both. |
