I imagine you could test this rather fast with a WinMTR report.

I think enough has been said here regarding how much hate South East Asian players( i am one myself) have for Garena in general. So I shall not say much further, given that I feel that additional hateful posts about Garena will only force our dear moderators into a corner as to which politically correct ( or diplomatic enough) excuse/reason to placate our hateful masses.

Instead, I shall post a simple plea ( my first post as well, how sad.)

Path of exile is a beautiful game. Its balanced well enough, The game allows freedom of expression as to how you want your character to play, as well as having a community of players who in general have been refreshing from the usual trolls/boneheads/yobos you would find from other games ( i am looking at you, Lol, Dota2, D3) - there certainly is less from what i have seen so far( which isnt much) and the game allows for alot of replay value - an excellent USP for a concept that is common to grinders/farmers. Its not a perfect game, but i daresay alot of us love this game through and through, and part of it comes from the fact that there is an image that this game was developed with community input - from people who dared to listen, ala Blizzard, a long time ago(dangerous ex-fanboy hate incoming).

Some players might grieve about having introduced the game to steam , some people might grieve about having spent $1270 on micro transactions and demanding a response because having spent so much money on a game, they believe that they do expect an answer.

Well, heres my response - you dont have to reply them GGG. honestly.

We are paying gamers because we WANT to pay for something. we pay for something because you can create a product which scores. So beyond the transaction, the emotion should stay as that. No expectations of delivery except for said paid product, for a game that is technically F2P.

However. That doesnt mean that repeat customers will arrive anytime soon - thats a fact that you cant really run away from too.

I noticed that as of 558am, Singapore time, a post on page 18 was removed by the admin. You guys are reading this thread, sort of. So here comes my plea :

Please just grace us with a simple answer. Diplomacy might fail here , unless you can pull of a coup of a reason. Sometimes people just want a simple answer. Typing " Singapore" on my gateway box isnt that hard, but its the feeling that people have been cheated of information - especially one as sensitive as an issue such as Garena.

As i type this rather long winded post, I am about.....5 mins away from the Garena office, and i actually do happen to have a few friends working there. I am honestly contemplating walking in just to pop a few questions - to learn what i can.

Or...I can choose not do that, and ask for you guys to grace us with ANY answer, diplomatic or not. and choose to believe it out of the goodwill that the company still cares. but hey, if you keep silent. I am perfectly understanding - Just a drive down to the Garena office in the business district and a very long chat with a few old friends. (non-threatening, mind.)

Your call.

If you don't mind please update us after your visit to Garena.

Seems GGG is binded by some contractual terms and don't want to touch this topic.
I still can't even test out the Garena version because it's region blocked, even within South East Asia.

Edit: Just to be clear, I most certainly won't be asking for any sort of refund, but it is pretty clear that people who play on GGG's Singapore server got severely shafted, and I fully understand the frustration that people are expressing here.

Have sent email to support@grindinggear.com for refund on 30 Nov because I'm paying from Singapore and want refund and play in Garena server instead.

4 working days, and 0 reply. Not even an acknowledgement that they receive my email.
There goes my 5 weeks of grinding, good job GGG. Never become money hungry and try to spread your game through platforms that ruins the current group of players playing it at the Singapore server. Well done. POE is officially dead to me if this doesn't change. It all about money, I say lets get back to diablo 3, this is really screwing me up. Sorry if I sound rude, but there hundreds of thousands of Singaporeans now frustrated at this issue.

Hi all, I feel like I'm a bit late to the party.

So I had an account from the time of closed beta, but didn't really play until recently. I can't even remember the process of when I made my characters, but maybe because I was from before open beta, my characters are on the Singapore server (which I am playing on).

I didn't even notice the Singapore option from the list was removed until I introduced the game to my sister and found out she couldn't find the Singapore option. Then I also found out that there was this Singapore Garena thing because I tried to add a friend who is playing on Garena.

I tried to read through the whole topic, but I'm still a bit confused about the whole thing so if someone could help me out, that would be great:

1. So GGG will be partnering with Garena. The new Singapore/Malaysia server is on Garena. Is there no link between the regular servers and the Garena server? (i.e. I cannot add a friend/play with a friend on a Garena server. Also I can't seem to see their accounts on the POE website...?)

2. The current Singapore server is hidden. There is some debate about this, but many fear it is a move to shut down the Singapore server. If this is the case, does this mean the only way for me to play is a) play on a different server like Aus, or b) move to Garena?

Sorry if any of these questions are stupid. I don't really know much about all this, I just want to play. I also reeeeaaaaaaaally dislike Garena. All I remember of it from the days I used it was it was all buggy and felt really unprofessional. I like just playing POE as it is now, it's clean and simple and I won't have to download Garena. If the Singapore server goes down I might just try to play on Aus or something.

Cheers.
