Hi GGG,Is the Singapore gateway removed?
Right, so I just tried playing on the Aus server, and lets just say I'm now throwing my vote into the "please don't get rid of the Singapore server" hat.
But then again, I might still just suffer the latency on Aus rather than go to Garena. |

" There is no link - they are separate servers. So no, can not play with people between GGG and Garena servers. " GGG has confirmed there are no plans as of now to decommission singapore gateway server. But it is a no-brainer, that over time the # of players on that gatewill will dwindle down. This is because almost ALL NEW PLAYERS in that region will be directed to and will play on Garena. even if they do download the game from this POE website, when they log in, they wont even get the Singapore option, etc. I play from Thailand - on the GGG Singapore Server, so overtime there is going to be a reduction in the number of people playing on GGG servers will go down duing my "play times". Ah well, I guess I got to live with that or leave. Last edited by MildlyClever#2548 on Dec 12, 2013, 11:39:11 PM

Path of Exile's website now redirects to Garena's. Chris confirmed with a fake polititalk response.
We are being sold out. Keep PoE2 Difficult.

Just read the NO GARENA post, how sad is it.
GGG is going down a one way path. SG gateway will be there, yes, but how long? Is it viable to maintain the SG server without a reasonable playerbase? |

" It all depends on how many of the existing players stay on the main servers, really. Since new players are funneled to the Garena servers due to the redirect, not many will know the option of being able to play on the main servers. Once the number of players logging in through the SG gateway falls below what GGG deems to be feasible to continue operation, I guess the gateway will go down, too. I personally prefer playing on the main servers, being able to interact with players from all over the world. If (or is it a matter of when?) the SG gateway goes down I won't be able to play on the main servers without lagging horribly, I've tried all the other gateways thus far without good results. |

anyone having heavy lag spike recently on Singapore Gateway?
|

I've been playing on the SG gateway for as long as i can remember. Recently though on the hidden gateway my ping has gone up by a lot. From my usual 90-150 ping i'm now currently getting an average of 350. This is insane. My ping in AUS is at 300 and my US 300. It might possibly be that my ISP has a bad connection with the SG gateway, but I've had no problems like this before. Anyone else getting similar connection problems?

I couldn't play at all yesterday, because the lag was so bad. But I'm not gonna quickly jump into server problems just yet. It's now xmas season, and a lot of people are on holidays, causing increase in internet traffic at normal hours. Adding the fact, that my ISP (or isp in general over here) are crap.
It is however strange, that my sc2 play is unaffected (as it normally should be). |

I have been playing on Singapore Gateway since I started POE a few months ago.
I have not had any lag issues - I was on almost the whole weekend. I play from Bangkok, Thailand, in case that helps. Last edited by MildlyClever#2548 on Dec 22, 2013, 11:04:56 PM
