A few people download the wrong client so you completely remove the gateway from from the drop down menu? That is absurd.

I agree. Honestly this sounds like an excuse.

There would be way better means to direct misled people to their according server. A simple log-in pop-up informing east asian players about the existance of the Garena server, as an example.
Still doesnt change the fact that the SG gateway is hidden. The game should notify the player the availability of BOTH server, not just the Garena one, nor only the PoE's SG gateway.

New Taiwan, Japan users are not considered the demographic of Garena's PoE, afaik. I still opt for having an option of visible selection of the SG Gateway, or like suggested, renamed to a more general name, "Asia Gateway". Personally, i dont like the idea of having zero influx of new player to the Singapore Gateway at all until the population dies off to the point i cant even find someone to play with.

Again, will not let the boat sink until Chris say something other than "Its still accessible, you just need to type it in."
I'm sorry but Chris' excuses for removing the SG gateway is just lame.

It's like insinuating that SEA players are too stupid/not able to differentiate between Garena and GGG servers that GGG have to remove SG from their gateway list? That's just silly.

I read in their forum that someone suggested to Garena to have PoE included in their Garena Energy program. That doesn't bode well if it gets approved.

Oh and just so you know, one of the most notorious gold seller company in SEA already selling currencies and unique items in Garena server. I won't be surprised if people can get Shav or Kaoms within the first 2 weeks after OBT started.

If they handle PR like what you said, they won't be here, trust me.

As a matter of fact, Chris said existing players can still play on the SG servers, but after patch SG gateway was hidden.

SG server & Garena server are redudant, to avoid competition and give way to Garena, SG gateway should keep a low profile, as the player base dies off it is possible to shut it off eventually.

Yes, this is my speculation but if GGG don't clarify, anyone can have their own speculation.

GGG should know there are existing player on SG server, if they want their player to go to Garena server, they should at least promise a one time Character transfer & some kind of compansation for microtransaction.

If they are dealing with Garena just mention it, I think everyone can wait.

Personally I won't go to Garena, but if they made the above promise I know they care about their player, I may to try to stay even without the SG gateway and try counter the high latency.

If they keep finding execuses and hoping everyone are satified that won't work.

No, he said they don't currently have any plans to remove it. He also said he prefers certain nationalities play on the "approrpriate" server (Garena vs. SG) We all know why Japan and western Australia wold be welcome on the SG server ($$$) I guess not enough donations are rolling in from mainland China and second-world Asia.

If Chris knew of a way to remove the server but keep the Asian donators happy, it would happen immediately, regardless of whatever assurance he made.

Singapore server will be offline within six months.

This is the main concern.

So I am expecting an official statement to clarify this "change".

A forum post reply from Chris is simply not enough, as he stated that he is not the only one who make all the decision.

Otherwise, I will just walk away, who know when will be aother sudden "change" apply.

Yeah no shit Sherlock it's obvious.

In case you STILL don't get it, it's not about whether the Singaporean servers are here to stay or not.

It's about the darkening of the Singaporean server's visibility, which not only seems to be a silencing measure, but also feels like a righ' little shafting of all those who play on it, because these new measures actively encourage others who likely would've chosen the Sg server, to choose the gimped Garena ones, likely resulting in the Sg server's population dying out eventually.
Try to imagine if it's the NA/EU server......please put yourself in our shoe before you ever think of click that post button.
This is all that should matter.

All this Paranoia, Angst and Inferiority complex is really hilarious to watch, but my face begins to hurt from all the facepalming. So please, stop. I can't afford to stop working because my Face hurts so much.

Another fact is SG gateway is currently hidden, without any announcement.
