The only downside is the whole 'Steam gets 20% of MTX monies' thing mentioned earlier.

I use Steam on PoE already as an overlay, Im using it right now, in game, its awesome.
Steam doesnt start when I turn my computer on. Steam doesnt log into friends when I turn steam on. Steam games are stored in your computer, you have access to them and there are many workarounds to play steam games without steam. Also there is offline mode which they say is meant to work indefinately. Link to steam page - What is Steam's Offline Mode and how do I use it? Basically, steam is teh daddy. Every time I re-install Windows 7 I have to call microsoft on the phone to get a real person to allow me to install it. I have to go through a chain of personal questions to get them to release an activation number and explain to them why I like to re-install Windows on fresh hard-drive every year or so.
I've never had to contact Steam... even by email. |
