Steam Os And POE

If Steam OS require the game to be a Steam game... will GGG merge POE on steam?

This would be tantamount to an official Linux port. I'm for it. :D

Hard to say. Valve are a smart company so maybe this situation will never happen. They're taken steam from a buggy POS to the industry leader.

It'd be nice to have a regulatory body in the gaming industry cause the amount of game services right now is getting dumb. Just something to put in place industry standards. Bolts and nuts for example, there are standard sizes all manufacturers have to use instead of each manufacturer making their own sizes and forcing customers to pick.

Even more when GGG claim they are and make the game for Hardcore gamers
it would be a shame not to have POE ( a hardcore game) on a Gaming dedicated OS
Valve is going to want a cut of any money GGG makes if the game is on Steam. I don't think that idea sits well with GGG at this point.

this is not the question

you can counter that argument just by saying :
Steam wants 20% of MTX $
but steam brings 400% more players
which increase mtx sales by 200%

in the end GGG still makes more money

Seems like you answered your question. What would be the disadvantages of merging PoE onto the Steam OS?

Won't happen like that. Many people already know about this game, and those that don't aren't going to be spending much cash on MTX. I've been on Steam since day 1, and just because a game goes on Steam doesn't mean the player base quadruples. Lots of games just rot.

I'm too much of a play one game 5-10 years before branching onto other games to deal with steam. I did make a account to play the Day-z mod of ARMA 2, but the ads popup before playing annoys me. And why do i want a gaming client just to play only one game? Maybe i'm getting too old, but steam doesn't offer me enough to install it again.

I'm not opposed to steam unless POE is only playable through a steam client. Then i'll be done with this game. I need to spend more time doing yardwork anyway.

If steam becomes a requirement I am out and am quite sure that many others would be also. Notice how I resisted the impulse of posting some made up percentage of how many that would be.
