Life users have more armor than they need... Have you played Path of Exile before?

It looks as if this will be a better place with you gone. The language is completely unnecessary and does nothing but retract from the (admittedly small) value of your insights.

I hope you find what you are looking for elsewhere.


you don't have my point you can get life leech ONLY FROM life steal support gem while melee user can get INSANE life drain from other sources

rly never saw CI melee user + blood rage for example and like 10%+ life leech from gear ?

use brain some times ...

O.o by FP I'm assuming you mean Freezing Pulse, in which case, of course not? I don't see why that has anything to do with this topic. So you're saying ES/CI users can only get LL from the gem, then later on say that you can use blood rage. FP with or without ES/CI would end up being the same thing really...so why are you freaking out about something that has always been there....?

I am under the assumption he's referring to Freezing Pulse as well. The invalidity of the argument is astounding lol.

So let me get this straight. As an FP user, you literally have ZERO contact with enemies. You PEW PEW from far away and things die. Melee on the other has to stand IN THE MIDDLE of enemies to deal damage. Now, you want the ability to life leech at the same rate and with the same ease? Are you insane?


FP is full ranged spell no even need to be melee range ever ...

FP have better range to stay back than dual spork ...

FP got even better range than ice spear ...

The nerf is relatively minor. Don't see it changing much in either direction. The only issue I have with it is the possibility that it was done because of the new unique belt. Other then that, any kind of melee is a mess right now. The so called "melee patch" was a complete joke.

This statement couldn't be any less accurate.

The statement was actually very accurate. There's a reason a growing number of people are of the opinion that the game is in the worst state its ever been in. Horrible balancing changes are one of the main problems right now.

The fact that they didn't change life nodes this patch should be enough to prove that they are having serious problems trying to figure stuff out.

I said melee CI can use (with vaal pact) it WHILE fp user can't (I said drain from it)

I liked my FP tank but now ... every freaking CI nerf im not going to play any more that all

I wouldn't say that i play hc for the "challenge" per se, as in: i don't play it to prove something to myself (or others) - i play it for the journey, don't necessarely care for "endgame" all that much and try to approach arpgs with a mentality formed mostly by rogue-likes and fond memories of how it felt like to play the first diablo for example - hence 'mostly self found'. If you'd read my previous posts in this thread my opinion is mostly based on concerns regarding design-philosophy, mostly in relation to the overreliance on trade.

I don't want to repeat myself, but my main gripe with this coming change, and previous changes to life for that matter is the fact that it kind of feels like GGG is heading down the slippery slope of balancing the game around economy-based power creep. Of course i don't want to claim that recent changes 'broke builds', 'made the game too challenging', 'made self found impossible' or 'forced a gameplay style upon me' - But i rather voice my concerns now, in beta, before it gets worse and/or becomes a real problem. And as i've also stated in one of my earlier posts: I'll have to wait and see it 'in action' before i can form a final opinion on this subject.

I don't mind a challenge, i don't mind trade as an option - I do personally mind if "the AH" becomes a balance factor.
CI was so fkn OP, it rly needed a nerf. every1 who says smth else should probably uninstall. i hate the nerf, coz i dont have much other builds than CI. but if u keep ur emotions / feeling of loss aside for 1 sec u know its been overdue.
