jonathon said "you don't need to pay attention to resistances in acts" I believe him. If I get gigged by an ability in a boss fight, i'll swap out my charm. I'm doing fine. If you are having trouble, think about what you are doing and adjust.
Freeze kills you on geonor? swap in thawing charm. Viper Napuatizi giving you headaches with her hovering around and the guys shooting at you? swap out to poison immune charm.
You certainly don't need chaos resist in act 2. I'm not even sure I had rare jewelery in act 2. pay attention.
Just like poe 1, people will get faster in acts. you'll know what you need to do to progress smoothly. It just won't be "make sure i have 60 cold resist at merveil" It will be "better get the thawing charm from finn I haven't dropped one".

There are courses in C++.

PoE is great.

But to think the company was going to invest to make 20k players happy is crazy.

No idea what me programming has to do with THIS game. Making a game is much more than programming. A lot more. At any rate, yes I can write C++ and very few game devs do these days. However, were I running the studio I would listen to the players that gave me thousands of dollars and thousands of hours on my old game when making an obvious successor to POE.
All you have done in this is to prove my original point about all emotion, no content and bump my thread ... thanks.
Well, thank god you are not the one running the studio. The dumbest thing GGG could do is cater to the already captured player base. POE1 isn't going away, there is no reason at all to just make POE2 be POE1 with pretty graphics.
If the company wants to expand and survive they need to attract more players, not just keep the same core group they already have.
Things would be different if POE2 were a replacement for POE1, but it is not. They have been very clear on that point.
If you want the POE1 style of play, it's still there for you.
And that is not what we veterans who are concerned want either. We do, however, would like the game to have long term playability.
And customers are never captured. If POE2 launches like this and I know all the money i invested in the company went to this, I wont continue with POE1. Dont care about Kraythax? Oh perfectly fair. But so will 90% of the other veterans that made this game possible. And then we will be left with the fortnite crowd.
No one is asking for POE1 with better graphics. We know the problems with POE 1 FAR FAR better than you do. The threads are detailed with many paragraphs of reasoned logic and proposed fixes and none of those amount to recreating POE1.
We shall see the reality on the FIRST server reset. It will come home to you like a slap in the face from a pro boxer. Then you will see what I mean. Doubt you will be big enough to come appologize but you will get it.

Nothing is going to change in the game for the next 3 weeks at least. We're not getting any big changes/additions until probably march at the earliest. You acting like you've played POE forever constantly making posts you know they'll never see cause you know they're not in the office. You know their schedule and turn around times. This happens every december especially right after a content release. The changes they've made so far are great and heading in the right direction. EA is about balancing stuff which they've made 3 hard passes at so far with a bunch of small stuff.
I said GGG needs to listen to the veterans and that non veterans are just posting insults and emotion without considered content.

veteran player who joined in 2019 only has 2 chars in settler league and only ever kill infinite hunger of any end-game boss, never even killed uber atziri not a single breechlord..... sure buddy I've been playing since open beta. I pretty much stopped poe with ritual before you even started playing it. Maybe you've have been playing longer your account was just banned cause you act like an asshat on the forums.

No. It isn't. There are long essay muli-paragraph posts by veterans that dont say any of that. You are simply pulling out some random quotes, changing the caps to think you are funny and pithy and tagging people with this nonsense. I can think of 5 posts on the first page alone right now that are VOLUMINOUS in content and detail that don't say anything like this. You guys need to stop with the “I invested into POE1 so therefore….”
You PAID for a POE1 product in which YOU got. The company GGG takes some of that profit and decides what they want to do with it.
You got your reward with POE 1 already, but to act like GGG is beholden to ANYONE as how they want to invest THEIR profit is not ok, it is entirely up to them to decide.
