Cope and seeth cause aint no way is that issue of slogging through a campaign if its fun, PoE 1 campaign is a pain in the ass cause it offers NOTHING in terms of fun gameplay then doing the same map end game experience

It is two different effing games at this point and I believe any suggestions to simply “improve” endgame to be comparable to poe1 IS saying it is fine to make poe2 a worse poe1, judging by so many missing pieces in poe2, including the most commonly mentioned “lack of deterministic crafting”. Why do you need that? Well cuz you just want to have maximum possible dps for maximum efficiency, which is the exact mindset trying to make poe2 a worse poe1.
POE2 crafting is simpler at the cost of wasting the players time. Most of the "deterministic" crafting in poe1 was there for newbies as the stats a rng crafted item far exceeded those made with the crafting bench. The crafting bench was, essentially, replaced by essence in this game. Forcing you to use the currency exchange. Making you wholly reliant on the rng of others to create your item instead of a set price on the crafting bench. Not to mention the wasted time collecting white items to craft with.

I see no difference between POE1 and POE2 campaigns.

The hilarious thing is, it's already turned into PoE 1 with all the meta builds out there lmao, tft server already having dedicated channels for boss carries in softcore, and best of all: the moment the first real league launches and its f2p everyone will copy-paste the hell out of those meta builds. Because playing the best, strongest builds simply feels good.
Indeed, though it's not about "turning into PoE1"
That's litterally the goal of the genre. You kill mobs, to get gear, to kill bigger mobs, to get more gear, to kill faster mobs, show off to your friends. Repeat until next economy restart, which brings more things on top.
And no, that's not my opinion, veteran or not veteran, PoE1 or PoE2 player :

I don't see much of a difference between the two. They shifted a few things around, for better or worse, and called it POE2.

Crafting bench was replaced by the runes. Early game items are also sold by vendors and they can be good, very good. You are to fixated on how it worked in poe1 completely disregarding the core differences. You dont need to look at sockets and that alone makes any item viable by default. You dont need this crafting because there is not as much varience in items.

Except that crafting bench was partially replaced with runes and partially with ritual's omens metacrafting, and both systems became even less frendlier as is. Now the only simplicity comes from lack of veiled mods. Cant see any correspondence with essences tho, theyre more like fossils now.

What's all the fuzz about? People demand campaign skips? Not happening, it's not D4. Removing honor from Sekhema? Not happening since it's central to mechanics.
"We wanted PoE2" they say while expecting it to be something they jump in and destroy first try? What's the point of such a "sequel"? PoE 2 is different in many aspects, requires you to learn to get good at. But some self-proclaimed veterans got reality checked. They're bad at the game and think GGG gotta make them feel good about themselves somehow. Maybe you should challenge yourself instead of crying?
So much drama. Especially funny to see it from grown men. :D
lol daaaamn. I agree with you. POE 1 'vets' getting skill checked and raging on the forums demanding the game be changed is pretty funny.
And another "emoting" post with no content. In this case the emotion is loathing for the people whose contributions mad this game happen.

Copying Diablo IV or dark souls isn't going to make this game a success. Those games are another animal and the wrong audience.
-- Sincerely
-- A supporter that has given your company nearly $1200 over the 10 years.
Its funny, cuz Diablo 4 alone probably earned more money than GGG in those 10 years combine.
If GGG care about money more than on their own vision, then they should definitely not listen to veterans of POE1 who r not even a 0.001% of the market.
And yea, POE2 need some work, but i already like it more than POE1. And im not alone in that statement. Just like u r not alone in yours, but dont think that your money mean anything here for a future development.

It is wild to me that EA seems to go over some peoples head though
Its wild that GGG actual stated on at least a couple interviews that they switched gears to focus on having more endgame at launch of the EA because they didn't want to miss player expectation. They knew this was more like a soft launch while they finished building the acts and the other half of the end game,
and still delivered a bunch of garbage. This is in no way a typical EA where they are still building major parts of the game code.

We literally dont have more than half of the game. It is typical EA. The only problem with it are vet players that dont understand what they got into.
