The Palpable and Uninformed Hate and Dismissal of POE1 Veterans Sounding the Alarm is Worrying
" No one cares about league tr00ns. GGG is better off ditching that crowd wholesale. |

" Talking from an account with 3 chars, 73-90-76, makes this quite funny, not gonna lie. Cherry on top, the 73 char didn't even kill Kitava :D Good troll. |

" Yeah I got bored of poe1 and didn't play that long. The way the game played didn't appeal to me.
" But that game was always there. Its called ruthless. What were you waiting for? Last edited by Querker#1809 on Dec 20, 2024, 5:20:45 PM

" Maybe it is more of a dedication problem and not a game problem ... I get where the frustration comes from but try to be open minded and give it a chance. Write constructive criticism and not these hopeless rants and try to come up with good ideas as feedback and you will probably be heard. I hate the newly developing toxicity because people feel like they deserve exactly the game they have preplanned in their minds and are not willing to engage with the actual game because of some pushbacks during maps or campaign. Okay lategame needs fixing and is not really ready yet but its a nice hint on what is to come - and I think it is going to be huge. |

I have almost 9k hours into POE over 3 different accounts.
Been here since EA in 2013. If it's one thing I can trust, it's to have any negative post or warning on this forum shot down, usually by new accounts from 2023 or 2024 telling me it's a skill issue. I completely back the OP. Big plus one. Not saying my takes are perfect. But I've seen every single league mechanic, every nerf, every change, good and bad. I've supported the studio with 1k dollars or more, and POE2 with another 100. It doesn't make my opinions more valid than others. But it does mean that if they do not try to listen to my criticism they WILL lose my support in the future. And that counts for something. If enough veterans end up in the same category, GGG is in trouble. I think the loudest elitist "get good" gamers are often the ones that left 30 dollars to get access, do the first three acts, and will never pay another dime, rather enjoying trolling on this forum instead. |

" Saying that PoE2 is even similar to ruthless is dishonest at best. |

I did give it a chance. poe1 is a brain off game. Zooming around the map and spamming one or two skills. I don't like that in games. I ended up playing it as a second monitor game while I watched podcasts.
The combat was boring. The campaign sucked. The boss battles are good in maps though. I figured I'd just wait for poe 2 to come out. At the time the combat looked vastly superior and I was right. That's why I don't want poe2 to be turned into it. poe1 exists for people who like that playstyle. POE2 is different. Stop trying to change the core concept of the game. And I have no problem with dedication when I like games.
" And it is YOU and those like you that GGG should rely upon for revenue for the next 10 years? Not the people that have been giving them that revenue but people who cant even finish the campaign in POE1 which takes even slow old me less than 1 day playtime to finish? Yeah I hope GGG reads that comment right there. |

" Ruthless is easier than POE2. The graphics are obviously not up to POE2 but that is about it. Last time I spent a couple hours on my latest ruthless char felt way easy. Last edited by Kraythax#2592 on Dec 20, 2024, 5:27:05 PM
