wow this guy went from just providing feedback into giving a corporate growth analysis in just few forum posts, all while thinking bosses here are 'unfair'. welp i was clearly bested
I never said bosses were unfair, in fact I said I easily dodge them and the previous low player damage made them tedious. What I said is after I am geared up hit me with the unfair BS. You know, after I am able to get the gear I need?
And yeah, when you think I need to respect your feedback, I'll gladly point out its not my fucking job, but GGG's and they seem to be doing it. Despite what you inferred from all the press, PoE2 won't be your dream game either from the looks of it.
Take the L boss, I can make a fool out of you all day.

I appreciate a slight buff to loot drops.
But think you kind of over did it. The content is way to easy because of it.
Before i am being called an elitist. I am not, i got a few hours to play everyday with a family. I am just a guy that appreciates the challenge and the change from PoE 1 (Which i got over 12k hours in).
EDIT: There is a lot of people replying that seem to understand it as if i want the changes reverted. That is not what i am saying. I am saying that the increase in loot drop was to much (I agree that a slight buff was needed). I do understand the game was very very hard at release. But players are getting better all the time. PoE 2 was so much different from PoE 1 that i understand it caused an immediate uproar because of difficulty. But we are honestly only on the fourth day.
Genuine question: Is the loot too much in maps? Late campaign? Early campaign??
I just reinstalled today and I haven't felt much of a difference [haven't seen an exalt, regal, alc, etc. all day] but I haven't played enough to be authoritative.
To any people that "restarted" post patch -- have you noticed major good [or bad] things in the early campaign??
Just restarted a few hours ago and it feels like a good spot. Bosses/mobs aren't tedious but you're still at risk of dying if you mess up. I'm not getting GG items, but good and plenty enough to get by. My pack fills maybe every 3 zones if I'm just checking relevant bases.

correct, being respectful is not a job. so continue the name calling.
I do apologize about that. I can see we both care deeply about this and we both think we're right. In reality it's subjective, but I think for the overall lifespan of the game, it's okay to go more rewarding than it was pre-patch. Again, I'm not calling for screen-wide loot but either more crafting orb drops or more gear drops were needed to smooth things out.
I would have personally enjoyed crafting a bit more if we had (slightly) more deterministic methods. I'm not talking bench/meta/beast all that, but the base hunting we were getting was a worse alt-spam. Idk what the ideal balance would be between pure RNG that we have now (save essence, but that just gets a blue) and somehow tilting the odds more in your favor so you potentially get a 3-5 mod/6 item with 6/6 being the chase.

The people who like and enjoy path of Exile 2 for being a slower, more engaging experience where decisions matter have one UND PRECISELY VUN option for that style of game - PoE2. This is it. This is our one game, and we JUST got it.
All of you people trying to turn POE2 into PoE1-but-shinier have a game where loot fountains from the ground in unending geysers, characters move faster than quantum entanglement and deal more damage than the Big Bang, and absolutely no one can make any damn sense of anything the game is doing unless they spend a thousand hours watching Zizaran.
Please. For the love of every dead god we've spent the last five years killing. Let us keep this game where we don't have to race to ten trillion Pinnacle DPS by forty-five minutes into a new league. I don't doubt we'll get there again in five more years and PoE2 will be just as bloated and largely unplayable as POE1 is, but let us have those five fucking years.
Why you feel this overwhelming need to take the game we've all been waiting for and turn it into the same ridiculous cancerous bloated monstrosity you've already got, I cannot fathom. Just... stop.

Then stop demanding the new game be made nothing but a terrible dupliclone of the original game. if the only thing you care about is endless free power scaling and P.R.U.G.R.E.S.H.U.N. at the active and malicious expense of everything that makes PoE2 new, unique, and fantastic, go play PoE1.

They can't afford to keep the game as it is, and it’s not your game by the way. As more people hit a wall, they will quit an most won’t come back. if they get a bad experience that, will be it.
This game, as it is, will cater to the few and that won’t be enough. I am already at the point where I never want to do the acts again and I’m not even done, and by never, I mean literally never.
They change it or it dies… you think it’s negative now, wait a week when the hype is over.

Please explain where anyone you're responding is advocating for this game to be PoE 1. If you want to spend 30 minutes on a single encounter, use white gear. It's as easy as that. I'm stating the loot buff we got feels good compared to where it was before. Again, this is GGGs game, you're (we're) just a player.
Go ahead and quote me saying the 1 button builds still take effort. They do, and yet I still was not advocating for PoE2 to become PoE1. GGG still controls what mods can go on what items, we're just able to see more now. Gasp!
I do legitimately suggest talking to someone about your possessiveness over something you have no control over. Maybe it's just text not conveying tone properly, but if you have anything unresolved that needs addressing it's best to talk it out with a licensed professional.

I am on a "mission", while I'm stuck at work and cannot play the game, to get people to shut the fuck up about how much they need eight hundred rare drops per minute when they haven't even played the new game for a bloody god damned week and have no idea what they're doing because they keep trying to play PoE2 with their PoE1 brain.
Grinding Gear Games promised us a game with all the depth, customization, buildcraft and intricacy of PoE1 without all the nauseating tedium, endless bloat, and needless finicky legacy complexity of the original game, and hell if they have not delivered as best I can tell. Is there room for improvement, sure. "Turn this game into PoE1" is not improvement.
Turn your goddamned Path of Exile 1 brains the hell off and play the new game AS a new game. Or go back to PoE1 if you want to get off Twilight Strand decked out in seventeen rares and three uniques.
