To much loot after the recent patch. EDITED: Updated with streamer video on this topic.

I appreciate a slight buff to loot drops.

But think you kind of over did it. The content is way to easy because of it.

Before i am being called an elitist. I am not, i got a few hours to play everyday with a family. I am just a guy that appreciates the challenge and the change from PoE 1 (Which i got over 12k hours in).

Absolutely disagree.

The game will die if they do listen and make it easy which equates to BORING. If people beat the game and get fully geared in short time....NO REASON TO PLAY.

If it takes along time to beat and get godly geared people keep playing.

As is theres people already deleting maps easily with certain builds only wearing rares and magics, no uniques.

I feel the exact opposite, making it too difficult and time-consuming is more likely to run off players. FAR more people want an enjoyable experience than a rage inducing one.

I agree the buff was maybe a little much, but has it changed the difficulty from hard to easy?

no. slightly more crafting mats doesn't make or break the game.
Eh, It's fine I am still having trouble just getting basic resists, you are overreacting also things like the trials needed for ascendency simply are not dropping. Maybe its too much in late maps, but earlier game feels better now. Unless they can modify how loot drops in specific areas then it's better this way. Shouldn't be punitive in the start just to make those who don't want a bunch of loot in the end to feel better. Not to mention it's kind of a weird stance to not want loot in a loot game. Loot is the entire point.
I didn't get to see the difference as I got to endgame yesterday and thought that amount of drops was "normal". Didn't get any real upgrade and still rocking those lvl 35-40 items at lvl 72, but still... I don't think a tad better loot quality is bad.

However, if they simply increased the loot rate (and not the loot quality), it's not the way I would have done it. I don't want more loot, it clutters the screen. I just want better loot potential on average. I don't want lvl 10-30 drops when I'm lvl 70+. They could as well delete every non unique drop that is not from your "current" difficulty range (e.g. If you're getting Expert items, you shouldn't get less than Act 3 Advanced items. Standard items shouldn't drop unless it rolls at as unique). I don't want a loot pinata, I just want potential upgrades. I don't think anyone wish PoE2 to be a loot pinata.

I think a lot of people misunderstood that this game is supposed to be "HARD" since Act 1, it shouldn't, the campaign should be the start of a learning curve, not a learning WALL.

For beginners, being stuck in act 1 is miserable, maybe you know how to gear up and what talents should use, but for new players they just don't know what stats are good or bad and still they shouldn't get filtered as soon as ACT 1-2.

The game wasn't hard, we were playing without gear, if you liked that because you are a really good PoE player then you can hide loot and play only with vendor items.

I do think they're using a toned down (but tuned up from EA release) Loot 2.0 if you're familiar with PoE1, I had to reroll a bugged character with a nerfed skill today and playing through the acts again has felt challenging but rewarding this time. It's nice to get mods for your build on one item once in a while either via crafting or drop.

The best spot it's ever been with I think the most successful league ever?

Funny how Settlers introduced some PoE2 elements and mechanics in early proto-forms and was more successful than any previous POE1 league, eh?

People are delusional, is POE1 too easy or is it inaccessible?

Yes. If you know the alien secrets of manufacturing infinite currency out of thin air, PoE1 presents no challenge whatsoever. It is effectively a cozy game with a DOOM wrapper. You buy all the exact same gear you buy every league, put it on the same build you play every league, and choose whichever random yaybo skill scales to ten trillion percent effectiveness with that set-up this time.

If you do not know how to manufacture infinite currency out of thin air, the game is utterly impenetrable. Nor can that knowledge be acquired in any way save watching Streamer Memers play the game for a thousand hours instead of playing it yourself.

"
It takes effort to get to these 1 button builds everyone touts as the ruin of the genre, which BTW D2 the "golden child" the endgame there is teleport spamming and using one skill. It's way worse than either POE in terms of difficulty of execution.

It doesn't matter whether it takes effort or not. A build that blows up the entire instance with a single click, casting over twenty thousand spells a second while moving so fast the game physically cannot render your movements anymore is going to ruin your experience whether it took you a thousand hours of sweat and blood to achieve or whether it took you twenty minutes of guide-reading. At that point you're no longer playing a game. There's no point in even logging on anymore. And even if you do, you just get your cat to sit on your mouse and watch the particle effects like some sort of crazed, PCP-addled 90s-era screensaver gone horribly wrong.

If you love and adore that style of gameplay, PoE1 is right there, next door. Go play it. It just had its most successful league ever, after all. The rest of us are enjoying actually playing a game when we sit down to play our game.

100% agree with op. during the campaign, loot felt really good. few drops, everthing (even base items) was precious. i used a LOT of currency crafting or abandoning items. it was pretty nice.

now the screen is littered with useless shit im not even picking up because it would slow down the play.

reduce the amount of items dropped again. make them more valuable to salvage/sell.

please do not make this a poe1 with new graphics. we were of to a good start
