because of those changes poe ended up where it is now

The best spot it's ever been with I think the most successful league ever?

Funny how Settlers introduced some PoE2 elements and mechanics in early proto-forms and was more successful than any previous POE1 league, eh?

"
People are delusional, is POE1 too easy or is it inaccessible?

Yes. If you know the alien secrets of manufacturing infinite currency out of thin air, PoE1 presents no challenge whatsoever. It is effectively a cozy game with a DOOM wrapper. You buy all the exact same gear you buy every league, put it on the same build you play every league, and choose whichever random yaybo skill scales to ten trillion percent effectiveness with that set-up this time.

If you do not know how to manufacture infinite currency out of thin air, the game is utterly impenetrable. Nor can that knowledge be acquired in any way save watching Streamer Memers play the game for a thousand hours instead of playing it yourself.

"
It takes effort to get to these 1 button builds everyone touts as the ruin of the genre, which BTW D2 the "golden child" the endgame there is teleport spamming and using one skill. It's way worse than either POE in terms of difficulty of execution.

It doesn't matter whether it takes effort or not. A build that blows up the entire instance with a single click, casting over twenty thousand spells a second while moving so fast the game physically cannot render your movements anymore is going to ruin your experience whether it took you a thousand hours of sweat and blood to achieve or whether it took you twenty minutes of guide-reading. At that point you're no longer playing a game. There's no point in even logging on anymore. And even if you do, you just get your cat to sit on your mouse and watch the particle effects like some sort of crazed, PCP-addled 90s-era screensaver gone horribly wrong.

If you love and adore that style of gameplay, PoE1 is right there, next door. Go play it. It just had its most successful league ever, after all. The rest of us are enjoying actually playing a game when we sit down to play our game.

Go back to yours. Let us have ours.

Buddy, this discussion is about the loot change and some boomer wanting to loot a white item once a zone. I'll tell you what I told them, look at my posts I'm enjoying PoE2 and the loot change is a huge gain for the life of the game. Stop being a tribal weirdo with "yours" and "ours" it's a game. You have no hand in creating it and no ownership over it beyond the time you choose to put in like anyone else. How about if you want to play a game where nothing drops, you make it yourself. In the meantime it seems like GGG is acting on data and player feedback when making these changes.

"I appreciate a slight buff to loot drops."

Me too. Can't agree more. Who cares about an economy make a game finally that it is
"NOT MORE PROFITABLE TO CRAFT THAN PLAY" !

Heading in the right direction GGG.

One sad Exile
I honestly think the loot drop rate is perfect now. I would hope GGG considers the possibility of two realms of play, similar to hardcore, where you can play with a more limited loot drop rate, and to keep the main game where its currently at now.

Either that, or bring the loot drop rate down to where it was over the weekend but further boost currency drop rates. I think the biggest intention with the current loot drop rate is to give players more opportunities for currencies to craft better gear. Yes, the weekend settings were good and lots of people had no issues at all (myself included), but this small ground of change gives just enough of a boost without stealing too much away from the game.

Right now PoE 2 feels like it's on-track to keep pace with Diablo 2 1.0, which I think is an excellent bar. Bosses are definitely far more challenging in PoE 2 than Diablo 2, and it does suck that some of the challenge is pulled away with more drops but this is a far better place to be than PoE 1 loot drop rates.
It's POE. There is supposed to be an ass load of loot. [Removed by Support]

"Buddy", this is about people who like and enjoy PoE2 telling all the people constantly ranting about how the new game doesn't explode in ten thousand drops a minute like the old game to stuff it and go back to the game that does what they want.

I don't want a game where I have to go to FilterBlade every single league and set up a new filter to cut out fifty drops to every one I actually see - even on 'Semi-strict'. I LIKE the idea of crafting being a thing everybody can do to try and enhance existing items rather than a thing only the ultrawealthy ultra-elite do with the spare thousand divs floating around their stash doing dick-monkey squat. I am actively enjoying a game where finding a rare item is honestly kind of exciting and I want to see what it does - or I was, when I played this weekend. I imagine when I get home now and spend a couple hours on the game only for it to drop eight hundred rares on me in a single instance I'm going to end up sighing, turning on the game's integrated loot filter, and wishing all the PoE1 religion of Zoom weirdoes would just go away already and get back to playing the game they obviously actually want to be playing.

Stop trying to turn our awesome new game into just-PoE1-but-shinier.

Fucking stop it.

then you should be respecting user feedback yourself

I'm not GGG, I'm not making a product that NEEDS to be profitable. They are. GGG is paying for these servers to be monitored or scraping the data and running analytics. They have more information than what your gut feeling and "wants" for the game are and their NEEDS are going to outweigh wants.

ARPGs are a niche, POE is the most extreme sub-niche, POE2 will be less of a slice than that once the shiny new game wears off. If 99% of people bounce off PoE1 in acts and the acts in 2 are being gatekept into being less accessible by a vocal minority of "hardcore" players, who is going to stick with it?

For some reason people seem to think you can only like one, PoE1 has Ruthless for people who like that. PoE2 can as well while keeping all else the same and "reasonable" for everyone else. I'm not calling for loot explosions, but when gear and mats aren't dropping kiting a boss for 25 mins is not fun or challenging.

I can dodge these bosses all day. I do make mistakes and am punished, but I was experiencing tedium because I just had to run and poke. What part of that sounds enjoyable? Let me get fully geared up then throw unfair BS at me.

You're the one fighting ghosts here, pal. I never said I wanted loot explosions, I said the change they made was hugely positive and I stand by it. When you see me say I need to have more drops than will fit on my screen you can throw your temper tantrum, but until then try to keep a stiff upper lip, champ.

How about you stop it, I get the passion but wow rude much? Why is your feedback and desire for the game any more relevant then anyone elses. We all want the game to be the way each of us wants it to be and provide feedback based on that perception and desire. Your opinion is no greater then anyone elses. expletives unwarranted. Loot felt bad before, it feels okay now. I can't speak to the super late game maps but getting 3 blues and 1 rare per rare killed an a tier 1 map isn't going to break the game and be like OMG we need filters now?!?! this is an emotional overreaction. Game is still difficult and feels fine.

I played for 30 minutes or so earlier
Didn't even notice any change

But obviously not enough time played

But certainly didn't feel any huge change
"
I appreciate a slight buff to loot drops.

But think you kind of over did it. The content is way to easy because of it.

Before i am being called an elitist. I am not, i got a few hours to play everyday with a family. I am just a guy that appreciates the challenge and the change from PoE 1 (Which i got over 12k hours in).

EDIT: There is a lot of people replying that seem to understand it as if i want the changes reverted. That is not what i am saying. I am saying that the increase in loot drop was to much (I agree that a slight buff was needed). I do understand the game was very very hard at release. But players are getting better all the time. PoE 2 was so much different from PoE 1 that i understand it caused an immediate uproar because of difficulty. But we are honestly only on the fourth day.

Genuine question: Is the loot too much in maps? Late campaign? Early campaign??

I just reinstalled today and I haven't felt much of a difference [haven't seen an exalt, regal, alc, etc. all day] but I haven't played enough to be authoritative.

To any people that "restarted" post patch -- have you noticed major good [or bad] things in the early campaign??
