I already lost 50 portals to maven.
" The problem is not moving, the real problem why melee feels this way is cause they don't use mechanics that would affect ranged players as well i bet if they make the beam some kind of wall that projectiles and spells can't pass through people would really to play on a fair ground, like the dot pools, that don't affect in any way a ranged player since they can still dps far from it. No money until, GGG fix melee.

Well, if that makes you feel better, the game also has shit like proximity shields and lot's of teleporting enemies to fuck up ranged builds. But yeah, GGG isn't really designing bosses with the intention of making them equally challenging for all archetypes. Would be kinda impossible anyway.

there is just one thing that needs to be changed in the maven fight and its not even a mechanic itself
the memory game needs a proper overlay or indicate the areas on the minimap this should be an option you opt in like advanced mod description often is not the mechanic itself that is "difficult" in poe its the poor visibilty |

But she still has clearly defined phases and moves you can learn. Once you do - its much easier. Like tota really, at this point I am so used to enemies' attacks I can side step them and keep channeling.

" I played deadeye lightning arrow and thats not problem at all, if there a proximity shield dude i just place a ballista and he is done, i don't even see the enemies when i'm clearing the map, if the enemy explode their are far away, the game just lacks stuff to counter ranged styles. Melee is like: enemy explodes with some kind of elemental damage, Enemy explodes and leaves something in the ground, enemy explodes and send some chasing balls, enemy cuts your regen by half, enemy steals frenzy, endurance, etc on hit and a lot more! Melee in bosses, try to avoid stuff, play around the boss mechanics, place perfectly the dot pools on the edge of the map so you can have no bad time if the enemy is above it, 80% of the fight running to side to side, (90% on shaper) Ranged gameplay: A bubble, get inside of the buble hitkils the monster. Ranged boss: just hit and move only when really needed. (the boss will be dead fast anyway since you don't need to keep move to still keep high dps) I don't know if the melee is the problem or if the bosses that are really pourly done (like Sirus, can't see a thing still, have to change my monitor to the fight be barely visible) No money until, GGG fix melee.

" I was just trying to be nice by putting it off with him being new. It's not a shit fight, you (and other people) think that because you can't do it properly. That's all there is to it. You likely wouldn't be here complaining if you could do it well. |

" maven is a terrible fight. but to be fair everything in this game is purposely designed to frustrate people who are not natural gamers. people who think everything in this game is easy have probably been playing games like mario since they were 5. people who are not natural gamers will have trouble with end game boss fights and it was purposely made that way by GGG |

" I mean we are talking about endgame bosses in a selfproclaimed hardcore game. Obviously those fights are made to be difficult. It don't see anything wrong with that. If you can't do them, either practise and get better or just don't do them, it's not like killing them is mandatory for anything. You can farm mirrors of currency without ever looking at Maven. And just to be clear, i've wasted like 10 writs when Maven came out before i first beat her. With uber elder it was more like 20 attempts before i managed. That's part of the game, learning and improving. I honestly can't understand people who play games while demanding that everything is spoonfed to them because they can't be arsed to make any effort themselves. |

" i dont just mean endgame bosses,i mean everything pretty much. sanctum reminded me of mario. in mario you couldn't get hit either. everything in this game is made for people who grew up playing games like mario. of course someone who played mario since he was 5 wont have problems with sanctum. he will print divines off it. this game was really made for a small audience who grew up playing games but because its free to play it attracts a wider audience |
