I already lost 50 portals to maven.

This battle is horrible in every single way possible, the only viable way i think of killing it is just forget defense and to just dps cause there is no way people have to actually play again't that shit pourly made thing.

Also who tought that making players can't regen for almost 10 seconds after they get in that laser rotating thing a good idea? i could make a harder and somewhat better desgined fight than this.

so how are hardcore ppl killing it?

the fight isnt that hard,one important thing for bossfights is turning on audio

all bosses scream their attacks and as long as you have a good idea where the boss is,it enables you to dodge the skills

So less than 4% of the player base can do it, so its good?

What why everyone i met that beaten the pinacle bosses, just cheese it, there is no reason to try to play a bad made fight if you can just kill it.

If you have more than 5 ground dot pools going on with maven during single phase, it is clear indication that you lack dps. Unfortunately GGG likes this permanent degen thing, pinnacle bosses aren't meant to be outlasted, you have to kill it before it kills you by filling entire arena with degen, if nothing else.

Also if you cannot evade rotating beam, temporal rift can still "heal" you while under 0% recovery debuff, because it is not a recovery

Yeah they made the late game of this game just for specific cheese builds, if you don't cheese you don't kill, it sucks.


Thats why everytime i see someone killing maven they don't even try to play the mechanics they just go to straight damage and fuck the surrounds.

i'm with 8M dps, is not enought?

I cannot truly "oneshot" maven either, but I get it done with 1-2 degen balls per phase, which you should lead to arena center. I do it just for eyecandy of playing mechanics, maven loot is hardly worth it. Overall, it is nicely choreographed fight, as opposed to exarch rolling balls and lycia waves, which are actual BS :)

The only things capable of killing your character should be the brain bomb, the memory game and the degen beams in the last phase.

Brain bomb is super easy, you really shouldn't be killed by that at all.
Memory game is what it is but how the helldo you manage to fail it 6 times when you have 8m DPS? That's already enough to mostly cheese through the fight. There are many people here, me included, who have done it dozens of times with less than 2 mio dps.

As for the degen beams, just don't get touched by them? Use flame dash as your movementskill if you don't already to pass them without getting the debuff.

Degen beam on memory game, the most bs thing on the entire fight, if i make any mistake insta death, if i don't make the memory game, death, i need the regen to my build to work so if i can't regen i cant hit.

Is another fight that makes me feel like a clown for liking melee.

He seems to be playing boneshatter with blood rage, so actual dps is 0 if he touches the beam :)

If you honestly manage to get yourself killed via degen beams or failed memory games 6 times during the last phase then i can't really provide much advice aside from "keep practising".
Paying attention to both the beams and the floor pattern requires some getting used to. You seem to be really bad at it but it should improve none the less if you keep trying.

Alternatively you can ofc just go and blame being melee for everything like the rest of this community :D

/Edit there is one advice i can give. If you fuck up and die between memory games, just stay dead and wait for her to start and finish a memory game. There is a 60 second cooldown between them. So if you wait one out you have a full minute to damage her before you have to deal with the next one.
