Clarifying the Ascendancy Changes

That's uh... A yikes from me gamer. This is horrible reasoning to just straight nerf a lot of ascendancies. xD
Lol GGG.... Some MINOR NERFS?! You made several ascendancies that are already barely played completely useless. You used your livestream to hype people up, then on the back-end, like you always do, nerfed the hell out of a bunch of ascendancies. You removed a TON of the + damage modifiers that kept those ascednancies even slightly relevent. Goooood job! (Sarcasm)

No they are not (unless you were an aura stacking golemancer whcih is gone now). Minions have been nerfed EVERY PATCH since blight league and they will likely continue to be nerfed like that until they are in a pre-blight league state.

Remember, GGG took 5 YEARS to make minions endgame viable. That is how little they care about pet builds.

Bro, have you tried using skeletons in league encounters that have timers? Almost every other build can get massive rewards from Delirium or Legion without thinking about it. Skeleton summoners are lucky to get a couple Simulacrum splinters and above 5 on the first reward.

Also, have you tried reaching 400+ depth in Delve with skeletons?

These necro nerfs just made timed leagues and rewarding Delve encounters even more unreachable for players who can't afford to spend 50ex+.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

Well, I'm waiting until I see patchnotes but atm Slayer (my favorite class) has lost 50% bonus damage while leeching. True, nodes were shifted so it's easier to get defensive layer now but in the end my damage dealing capabilities are going to be reduced. This change will prolly be good for people who weren't going fully into leech nodes, yet for me it's a bit of disappointment.

Yet, I'm waiting to see the rest of the changes.


my dude, 50% >increased< damage is almost nothing and ends up being a lot less due to diminishing returns

Raider will be played. Only ascendancy that can move fast.
The Assassin changes are so bad and just a straight nerf. The worst thing is - it costs him Movementspeed and Defense. I would have been fine with less Damage... but movmentspeed makes the playstyle much more enjoable, and denfense is just to rare, thus important, in this game...


You lose 34% movement speed for mapping - you gain 10% with the Elusive Buff

You lose 8% permanent Damage Reduction - you gain 10% reduced Damage Taken in extremely rare conditions. That's just so bad. That's not a "specialisation" change, that's a nerf!

These changes doesn't contribute anything for specialising Assassin. He just got nerfed.

I'm curious about the effect all this is going to have on the power curve.

I appreciate the clarity in some of the swaps - nodes having a clear theme & not having attack damage tacked on the end (or whatever).

I definitely appreciate the general buffing of defences that's gone on.

But when I see an awful lot of 'removed 40% increased; added 5% more' type swaps, I wonder if they're not going to over-buff the top end while leaving the entry/midgame level noticeably worse off.

Cancel each other out? some ascendancies were literally destroyed, stripped of half of the stuff, nothing added, just removed :D
