Will there be a new atlas every league now?

Yep... just checked. They're paying out their largest ever in June... second of the year and more than any previous year total. They're making bank. Of course GGG is probably less than 1/10 of one percent of their holdings.

If Tencent has paid above 100mln.$ for 80% of GGG shares, it means GGG generates at least 30-50mln. $ of income per annum. I was working for few really big international corporations and I know, that their management is never happy to spend any money on investments which will not pay back in more than 3 years.

well, it seems that we are going to get what we asked for......
took em long enough considering we been talking about this idea sicne day one of this thread.... but still... did they listen to us? did this slog of a conversation make a difference?

seeing a similar pattern here for the past 2-3 years on one of the "big" names acti-blizz, not a suprise what you said every single day there's another new microtransaction added to the game.. less of actually even thinking in adding some sort of free to play stashes and currency tabs with limited amount of space..

good companies start good (old blizzard as example) to end up consumed by greed (acti-blizz).

I can only hope that I didnt start to play this game too late and it already got consumed by greed from someone that bought the company..

If you started to play this league, it's definitely too late, you missed all fun. From now on you can only count on slave grinding, combined with forcing you to play what GGG wants you to play.

In the past you could choose which content you want to play, you did not even have to trade because it was not that necessary. You could not avoid only lab and levelling of masters, but not everyone, because not every one of them provided crafting, which interested you.

Now it's over. If you want to achieve endgame and you do not want to play 16 hours a day or RMT, you have to trade. If you want craft, you have to play all the content, whether you like it or not. In addition, you are "subtly encouraged" to play in league content, for example with the help of the fact that map drops have been nerfed on maps to such an extent that by playing maps only you do not have a chance to sustain maps. Pure slavery. But you can try it if it does not bother you.

I uninstalled this game, let them play it themselves.

I love the fact that GGG has finally answered and that they decided to actually fix the issue, not just mitigate it a little. Thank you, GGG!

That said, I'll first need to get tired of GD before I fire up POE again. Might take a while :)

Well, Bex did tell us that she kept bringing it up with the devs. The solution they came up with is exactly the same as suggested in this thread (probaby multiple times and once even by me). On the other hand, the solution is kind of obvious, so they probably did not need us to present it.

So, who knows. In any case, they did fix the problem in the best way possible and I can finally play standard again. That is HUGE.

Definatelly a + for GGG on this one.

There was simpler easier solution - just make old map tab remove-only and give players new empty tab.
But this one works too, I guess.
Almost makes me want to play in standard.

Ok... Now I wonder if they will still stay at the atlas shufling every three months, or will this idea no longer seem so great to them :P By the way, it had to look really tragic, since they decided that the possible continuation of this scam would take them more losses than incomes.
