People are overreacting

There is no way to support GGG anymore. You are now supporting Tencent and hope that they do good by GGG in return. People aren't ok with that. It isn't "over-reacting". It's rational. I doubt it will affect the game as much as some people seem to think it will, but we'll have to wait and see.

All I can tell you is that we don't have a say in it. We don't get to "vote with our wallets". That's gone. It's now Tencent's choice, and if you think we can influence them to make the game better, you're mistaken. They're in it for money, and will only fund a game that produces revenue. You're going to see that funding this game just became radically different.

If saying shit like poe is dead , p2w incoming, exalts for $, expansions for $ incoming etc is not overreacting to you than i dont know what is.
This is basically xbox all over again, people tend to hyperbole and over dramatize. From a company's perspective this is really huge and I am genuinely happy for GGG to have come this far. From a player's perspective I am taking this whole situation with an grain of salt; it can be either really good for the game or turn out for the worst. I don't have to become an fan of Tencent to continue enjoying PoE and supporting GGG in the future. Sure, a part of my future money spent will end up in Tencent's pockets but to me it is pretty much whatever as it already happens on a daily basis in everyones lifes. Imagine people would stop buying certain brands of clothing, groceries, cars et cetera just because they dislike / don't agree on an companies choice of investors. Sounds good, doesn't work.

For me personally nothing will change. I'll continue supporting this game and GGG until I no longer enjoy playing it or it eventually really goes down the drain. The latter didn't happen yet so there is no reason to overreact or draw conclusions just now.
I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

Afterall I had great 4 and 1/2 years of playing this game. THANK YOU GGG. I immediately leave if I see that poe became P2W game same as I did with all others I left.

That shows that specific people are over-reacting, not that people are in general over-reacting. If you can't tell the difference yet, then I don't know how to help you.

More people should, really. Especially if we're talking goods that are easy to avoid. Clothing and some electronics aren't. Video games... sure.

I'd say GGG way of doing things was making me happy although sometimes they failed (imo). Not trusting any big company who mainly cares about $$$ rather than integrity of the game.

Exilecon most likely to be remaned as TencentCon.

Maybe it's an ironic unit of measurement; meaning minuscule. That would be great.
Thanks for all the fish!
