kill the hp node requirement

everyone settle down #beta

The whole point of a beta is that people give feedback and suggestions. It's a good thing that a variety of suggestions are considered, even if they aren't implemented. If GGG didn't want this they'd shut down the forums.

What... A... Stupid... Comment.

So i can just meander my way through the tree taking whatever I feel is right at the time, no planning or trying to complement my gear and playstyle, yet still be viable end-game?

You, sir, should stick to Blizzard titles.
It would be borderline retarded if the game was doable with every single build...

11. Are there defined roles for players, like tanking, healing and sustained damage?
While we don't have concrete defined roles for any class, there's enough customization with passive and active skills that a player can focus on one type of play. A Marauder, for example, can load up on hit point buffing skills and taunts, and a Ranger could focus purely on offensive skills. We do not intend to have a dedicated healer role.

What you and the blind defenders of the current game want is for only one single build to remain valid - doing nothing but stacking HP and Armor nodes. I wonder how you never get bored of playing the game the same way every time.

Plenty of thought go into my builds tyvm. they just dont revolve around doing nothing other than making a maximum HP tank.

But its not retarded that the game is currently doable with only one or two builds, whatever.

This is simply not true and really makes anything you say impossible to take seriously.

You are still bringing up point 11 of the FAQ? Again, it doesn't state that every build will be viable in end game. And there are several builds viable, not just one. Why don't you stick to D3? Almost every build is viable there, go and have fun.

GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
I think a simple solution is up the % of all hp nodes tad so that people require less. I'll still grab all of them, but it would be less of a mandate.

Btw. I have played 4 characters to lvl 70+ and one lvl 80 . I think I have some experience to say that it is a tad bit too lopsided in favor of requiring hp nodes.

My friend is doing this. He'll get through the game in normal, play cruel for a few days, die a bunch, then quit that character. Is he an ARPG hardcore player? Of course not! Will he have enjoyed the game, absolutely! Will he invite all of his friend? Heck, he's the one who got me to check this out. This, to me, proves the FAQ was correct. He went full-on retard DPS, beat the game, had a blast, and then he'll probably do the same with a shadow. To him, that's the game. Beating it in normal, and then re-rolling. If you want to take the game further, you need to make some sacrifices.

I, for one, rather play hardcore. I don't want to die, so I stack HP. The FAQ is still right, if I wanted to make a full-DPS build I could, I would just die, because I don't have an advanced HP pool.

It's a pretty simple concept. You need to balance your passives. Stop feeling so entitled to a MAD DPS GLASS-CANNON build and then ask yourself why it's not working.

No one is suggesting that the skill tree needs changing. People are saying that any combination of skills on the passive tree should be able to beat the game.

whoa whoa hold on there...are you seriously making my point that what you guys really want is a red carpet to "beat the game"? you seriously believe that i should be able to throw a dart at the passive tree and just build anything and it should totally be viable???

What even makes you think I play D3? Is that meant to simply be your attempt at a lame insult to try and sound cool?

That quote from the faq makes a very important point that you are ignoring - that you can focus purely on offensive skills and play the game instead of focusing on HP.

Guess what? Thats exactly what I tried doing, and it doesnt work. Everysingle build in PoE needs to stack HP to be valid, that means I have to subtract from the damage nodes that I would rather have, and that the faq says that I sould be able to take.
