kill the hp node requirement
Hundreds of builds ... yet all of them need to be 50% HP or ES + CI. Makes no sense to me, they all look the same.
Top middle witch area is scarce for HP nodes, its all elemental damage and several wand and mana trees thrown in. HP nodes are very inaccessible if you are trying to obtain any of Static Blows, Breath of Rime or Storm Cast, all there is around there is Divine Toughness. Plus the number of points you need to spend to get up to the elemental nodes leaves very few left over to spend into HP. Don`t talk like its something everyone thinks, interesting forms of defense exist in the form of skills so you can leave the passives to simple types of defense plus some interesting ones(CI, Zealot`s and so on...) None of the skills you listed are a substitute for high HP / ES either. You still get hit while trying to cast any of those skills. " No one is suggesting that the skill tree needs changing. People are saying that any combination of skills on the passive tree should be able to beat the game. Were not tying to change the game to fit our ideas, we are trying to get the game to fit the idea it was meant to follow in the first place, that people should be allowed to take whatever passives they want, and still be able to successfully play the game. It was never intended for every build to have to rely heavily on HP nodes, and it definitely wasnt this way in the closed beta. Essentially they would have to balance the game for the worst case scenario... balance the game for the absolute worst passive choices possible. Silly. The game was never designed to be easy and mindless. The game has been designed to be challenging. It is impossible to have a challenging game that can be defeated by any passive build. You simply can't have both. |

" 100% WRONG. The game would only be 'easy' if all you do is run the single ridiculously overpowered build that is still viable in the game - doing nothing but stacking HP. Only having one single valid build to beat the game is lame, and thats how the game currently is. I would most certainly like to be able to build a large variety of builds that dont all rely on doing nothing but stacking HP, Armor and Resistances. Tell me, why was CI nerfed? Because it made the game too easy right? So why did they never nerf HP and resistance stacking which does the exact same thing? The game is already easy if you play the HP stacking build, while its virtually impossible if you try anything else.
