" What is odd is that it gets this "hate" where it is completely unnecessary and redundant. And because it is "hate" there are in 99,99 percent of this kind of threads next to no arguments, reason or reasonable thinking. And that bothers me. All that most of the thread-founders say is: I love POE, i hate D3. Yeah, i get it. You play POE because you don't like D3. What a news. In the case of the OP, it is just simple love-hunting ;) Or did you learn something new? Did this do something good to you? No? Well, maybe because it's just another personal oppinion about something that just don't bothers you or anybody else. You hate D3. And there is someone saying "I hate it too". Nice. Join a party or something. But leave this forum clean. POE needs some more attention than D3. Just because POE seems to be the game you love, right? And about the "hate": The thing is, that in 99% of this threads not only D3 gets insulted (which in most cases does not bother me). The players of D3 get insulted. Because those who insult look like they don't get that there are people around here who just love to have the choice. Half an hour to play? Let's run some Grifts or Rifts. A full metal sunday of gaming? Yeah, let's grind POE. D3 is perfect for those who look for D3-content. POE is perfect for those who look for POE-content. Is this too hard to get? And btw: compared to D2-LOD, POE sucks big time (in my oppinion). Now what? Everybody is pissed that no actual ARPG lived up to one of the best games ever made? Wow. I have a well rocking ancient-furnace barb in D3 and a short to lvl91 marauder in POE. I think i show that i love both games by the effort i put in. And then a guy with a lvl78 char comes around and is calling me a fanboy, a dumbass, a sheep in the herde because i am playing D3? Just stupid. Nothing more (not implying, that the OP did that, but it is the case in most of this kind of threads). Short: Like Fade says. There is no reason for threads like this (anymore). For a while it was fun to read them, maybe. But now? POE has grown up. It is no longer an underdog. It is no longer a "pretty game made by Davids against this bad ugly Goliath". Not for me. It is a full grown game that has it's place in the gaming world. It is well regarded. It won awards. It is run by professionals (except sometimes for the moderation in this forum). It is funded and supported by money. It has a strong fanbase. By comparing it to D3 or Blizzard still, you do nothing but making it small and ignoring it's merits. This game is in a state were it deserves a full grown community. Participating, arguing, helping to make it better. Not this backward-orientated comments all the time about the big, bad ugly D3 made by this big bad ugly company (that still, of all global players, is the best in terms of fancontact and support). Nuff said. Keep on going ;) The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

" I agree, PoE isn't some underdog game anymore. When someone just bashes D3, and says PoE is so much better, they just diminish PoE's merit's with that comparison. PoE would be good even if D3 didn't exist. D3 doesn't need to be bad for PoE to be good. It's good all on it's own. Every time someone bashes D3, it makes them and the community look negative, and it takes away from how good PoE is. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give moar Power Creep Pls |

" It is. D3 is aimed for casuals. In other words. The majority. POE is aimed for the more hardcore mini maxers. Both is fine in their own right but all I can see with POE's philosophy is revenue lost. |

If I wanted to read about people hating D3, their own forums is more amusing that here. D3 can be flawed but it doesn't really deserve so much of our attention anymore. Add a Forsaken Masters questline

One said it perfectly in this forum: "When you don't have the right equip and build, POE is hard as hell. If you have the right equip and build, it is easy faceroll time." That is the only difference in difficulty between this two games: D3 gives you more chances to go up in difficulty, while you very often can run into walls in POE. Don't want to argue against or for your argument, just saying how i see it. So: The difference between POE and D3 is the level of being beginner-friendly imho. And that's it. A LVL 78 Map with the right build and equipment is as easy or hard as a top Grift with the right build and equipment. The Sirus fight is a disgrace. dont forget diablo 2 had trading, and thats the only reason why PoE actually survives...
the everlasting grind and content was pretty bad ass in diablo 2, PoE just took a step too far! king kong grind fest... |

These threads have a mindset that belongs to a small game's community. POE is not a small game anymore.
Pls lock Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.
