the only melee character that worked for me was perma IC ele cyclone
grabbing pretty much every life node on the left side of the tree. lgoh + cyclone is a pretty nice combo for sustain and IC prevents getting bursted. but even then, comparing it to crit casters, prolif builds or coc, it kinda makes you cry. worse clear speed, okayish single target, dependent on not messing up on Ic while being not considerably cheaper than the casters. also, in highlvl maps you mostly get fked by ele dmg which is naturally less risky playing a build that has some ways of reducing ele dmg because of reflect. |

" Playing melee causes more desync for me, so I'm disinterested in playing high level melee in HC. It seems like the more damage I take, and the more actions I try to carry out per second, the less the game wants to respond. That's a recipe for a rip. I'm on satellite internet btw. League of Legends is completely unplayable. But PoE is decent enough. So it's not all PoE's fault. Relatively speaking the servers are better than most games for me. |

" why wouldnt you have evasion on a melee character? 4 layers of defense that are equally as important as each other for melee, armour, endurance, evasion and ondars. Most good builds span 2 or 3 starting positions, marauder, duelist and ranger all have serious melee nodes. If you feel like your melee build is so tanky that you dont need all 4 of those things then fine, dont spec them, but dont blame melee if you make bad builds that cant tank content when you are not speccing into the defenses that are on offer. Spellcasters dont have loads of max res nodes that melee cant get, theres 2 max res nodes in the bottom of the tree and 1 in the top, theres more all res nodes in the bottom of the tree. Melee have same access to elemental auras and elemental flasks, melee has the same opportunity for ele resist as a caster. Again, if you dont include it in your build that is your choice and your build, that is not the fault of melee. Melee have access to the same ele res, casters do not have access to the same armour, endurance and evasion. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

on another note, people talking about melee cant do hard map mods, well I have a lot of seriously gg characters specced out and when a map is rolled absurdly hard theres a point where I would only put my melee witch into the map because she can take more punishment and face off way harder mods with ease than any other char I have.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
