Why Atziri's Acuity is actually balanced! (For those who don't know game balancing)

Funny how you ignored half of my point. What about the fact that this change doubles the wealth of those super rich players over night without them having to put in any effort whatsoever? What about the fact that a lot of those super rich players are selling items in shops for real money.....now we starting to get into the issues and hopefully you now realise. And regarding the first point that you disagree with, most people are capable of saving up for 60 exalts which was the price before announcement. A lot will struggle to save upwards of 120 exalts however. So those who want the gloves are in fact now screwed. You say go farm ubers? Well most people can't do that and those that may get there after the patch will have to put up with a rediculously low drop rate while the people that hoarded them before sit back, laugh and enjoy their easy profits. But yeah no issue right? The really simple solution is to keep standard as it is now, no doubling wealth, no pissed off players. Change the new leagues all you want. They could have changed the item like CoE, but they haven't. They could have fixed Vaal pact,but they haven't. Instead, they made the item even more rare... That's not the right fix.

I'm glad that the forum users are not in charge of balance. Their idea of balance sounds so bland. Sounds like they want the D3 balance philosophy.

" People getting richer in a fictional game isn't a "game balance issue", it has nothing to do with the BALANCE of the game. RMT is illegal and a massive issue to begin with, saying they can't make balance changes to the game because it effects illegal RMT is retarded. I ignored the point because people wealth in the standard leagues they do not balance around, on top of that rich's people wealth isn't something you balance around. No most people are not capable of saving up to 60 exalts, Most people struggle to have 5 exalts. Game balance isn't about how other people have an easier time, it's about the game becoming better. " Imo acuity should have been either leech for both hp and es or simply "crits cant reflect". The first option would actually open up new possibilities for hybrid builds which are currently only viable with aegis. The nerf of VP (even ggg's balancing team could spot that issue) and then the addition of an even better mechanic (instant mana leech) with 0 drawback on a very strong item (700 armour and 80 int is huge) is like taking a big steamy pile of a dump on the overall balance of the game. Power creep like that is simply unnecessary but it seems GGG doesnt care about that anymore. |

This isn't a balance change for standard league so why are they implementing it there. The only thing that achieves is the 2 things I've mentioned. It pisses off the players looking to purchase these best in slot gloves and it also doubles the wealth of those with lots of gloves. How you cannot see this is an issue is really beyond me. |

The question now becomes "how is this best dealt with?"--and the simple "make it less powerful" that would have sufficed when the gloves were introduced has too many negative repercussions at the moment. " It's worth noting that all of the passive tree changes and bench crafting via Masters make this no longer the case. I personally feel that life/ES hybrid builds have been viable before now, too, but they were certainly incredibly finicky to build and required extremely specific gear. " And this comes back to my original point: the "overall balance of the game" has a trivial connection to the fate of Acuity when it was a concern for at most 0.1% of players (considering that GGG's said only ~1% of players ever even make it to 66 maps). Making it more rare only makes this more true.
