Why do some players lose their passion for PoE ?

becus its not tight anymore
because ggg keeps making 1 hit mechanics and does nothing to counter that through other means.

I don't mind the Grind, nor the desync actually. What I don't like is the RNG and the crafting system.

I'd rather grind one boss or one area for weeks, knowing for sure that that one item I want Will drop, sooner or later. In PoE that aspect isn't there. So basically, there's nothing to grind. There's only fortune and misfortune in this games RNG drops.
PoE is basicaly D2 succesor without good PvP and runewords...

Got bored. I realized the best way to gather real wealth was to flip. I absolutely hate flipping and I'm not greedy enough to make currency that way.

Used to farm for 8 hours a day doing dom runs with godly mf. 157 IIQ/512 IIR.

I really don't feel like playing an economy simulator to gather real wealth. Also, I've got tons of legacy IIQ items on and I really don't think legacy items are fair at all. I'd rather all players have the same chance to get the same uniques.

I have played a little more than an hour since SotV came out. Probably going to never play again. No, you guys aren't getting my stuff.

Can I have your stuff?
For me, I start to lose interest when I start mapping. The futility of the grind becomes so apparent when you get to that stage of the game and it turns me off starting a new character because I know that I'll just end up at the same stage after a few weeks of playing. I'm no pro so I also start to struggle once I hit level 65-70 and can't find upgrades and keep dying and lose progress. :(

However, I always return with each ladder reset and fall in love all over again. A game that offers a few weeks of incredibly good fun every few months is a great game. I love PoE, even though I haven't played it for a couple of months. I can't wait for the reset and the new leagues :)

Most of the reason similar to me except that I died less. The main factor is that end game content being too repetitive unless making a new character and build.
I Love This Game Now, Being a Summoner Hardly Associated with Desync ♫

While realizing that SotV hasn't really contributed exciting new stuff gameplaywise, not to mention ongoing technical diffuculties like frostwall not being fixed for weeks, desync on ladder resets, dominus still eating to much fps ... I realize I am done.
