Why do some players lose their passion for PoE ?

One main IMO: No gear sets to collect.

I really have 0 motivation to go out there and grind . Also not enough epic boss fights. most of them are dull. best one is either brutus or vaal. rest are crap

For me it would be that even though there's content, after a certain amount of playablity you hvae nothing to strive for. It's not like there's REALLY hard map tiers or anything that makes you want to get 90+ etc. It doesn't change as much as I would like.

Gear in general. Hit your 60s and suddenly the random rares you found along the way are incredibly worthless and only for farming for months will you maybe get close to something you need.
This is going to be a serious statement. Lets go play some D2 people! Seriously...I'm hopping on in a few. Start from scratch!
I love pie.
Because there's nothing to do end game. You're pretty much forced to run maps which gets extremely boring extremely fast.

PVP doesn't add anything, because PVP in an ARPG is about as fun as sticking a pencil into your dick hole

People want new content and fixes to things like desync, instead they focus most of their energy on useless shit no one cares about.

Until actual content is released, people will continue to leave.

I can't imagine how much of a ghost town PoE will be when RoS gets released.

PoE has lost over 20k players from steam alone in just a few months.

Definitely not encouraging.

PvP is pretty fun when you are solo and get challenged by an entire party. Then proceed to wipe the floor with all of them. xD
Many lewt.
Much desync.
Such rewarding.
Wow.
According to forum mods "sandwich" is considered an offensive word. Who knew?
^ Alot of people counting on pvp to fix the problem with people leaving. little they knew, all you can do in pvp in order to win is have max block with either EK or RF. otherwise you will 100% lose.

Found another reason: disconnection problems. Usually everything's fine, but sometimes you get disconnected every 10 minutes or even more often. Annoying as hell.

This is the problem with pvp in ARPGs, there will always be a few really OP builds that will wreck anything and everything.
.
The way ARPG's have always been played is considered not good enough in PoE - Endgame content cannot be repeating same bosses, that is only early-endgame you can do that to farm levels/items. The best items/xp rates cannot be farmed as ARPG's have always been farmed.

I know maps are great, but i always liked boss running all night long. It is not the same when you know you should be working on your maps to maximize gains. If you do not, you will just have garbage compared to.
