They said this to some people in threads similar to this one where they got their account banned for nothing. So i presume they are aware that a mass banning was done ? Is this done by system bots and not by people ?

Im asking this....cause i got banned after i reported a bug via e-mail to contact supp and i sent dxdiag and production_Config files. I was thinking that i got banned cause they thought i bugged my garden intentionally (and somehow enjoy not using it and/or my maps) or because they saw im using PoE Overlay ?

Or after i send those files they are given to the system for testing ?

How are bans done ? Do actual real life humans look at the issue and decide an account has to be banned or is it done by bots ?

100% Sure it's not an auto banning because of PoE overlay, cause if it was that then a lot more players would have been complaining (even if most have quit and are not playing the league, there are still a decent amount of players left)

DurinSUN some interesting insight. I posted a bug report on here when I couldn't harvest my grove. I swear it wouldn't let me at the time despite killing all the monsters.

Someone randomly tried to join my party. Several times. I said "are you from support" and things like that. This person never replied just kept trying to join my party.

I was very polite and never received a communication back from that guy in game.

I then later was able to harvest my grove. I don't know what changed. I played some new maps. It depends on if you go through the maps portal or your hideout.

I went back to this forum and posted a follow up saying something like "nm its working." Never actually got support other than MAYBE the guy who didn't say anything back?

I remember typing "/debug" a few times trying to figure out how it worked. Still now idea what I did there. Maybe using "/debug" more than once is an issue? I had a legit problem and was fumbling around the interface.

Sometimes I would say "ty" to the wrong person by a mistake click in the UI. Sometimes I would message someone for a sale twice by mistake because I refresh the trade filters. All fumbling mistakes.

I also remember it wouldn't let me search the trade site anymore around the time of my ban. I was searching a lot for rings I think.

Weird connection. Grasping at straws. Could be my clumsy usage of the interface. I don't know.

Your client.txt file is your PoE LOG, so go into that and find information about the person trying to join your party.

Are you talking about the officiel trade site and was the problem that a "captcha" alert / box ?? If yes, then this is your IP being restricted by GGG's protection system for "spamming" backend API. This could be why you were banned....

Yes, there was a banner saying something like "Too many request attempts."

I study my character a lot while I am working and search the trade site BY HAND for things to flip and at the time I believe was an unset ring.

I didn't realize they had this limit / issues with me using their trade site often. Purely a mistake. Why wouldn't they just tell me that if it's the case?

Probably this is what happened now...but still why wouldn't they happen all at once ? And still....why nothing said and done about it for some people it seems for 5 days now...im at 2 days....and already seems way to long for literally nothing.

The friends who taught me how to play this game never heard of item appraisal bans. To do that you have to alt tab out of the game. Not to mention, how do they know what's on my computer otherwise. The only thing I have done to change my in game experience is using a loot filter.

The ideea is, as some say, that a trade macro program can also be used for some other stuff that isnt allowed, like flask macro or dunno what double-triple actions they can do that is considered cheating.

I used PoE Trade Macro until PoE Overlay came out and used the overlay since then. I used both for only 2 things - price checking items and F5 to fast tp to hideout. didnt even know other hotkeys for other shortcuts.
But...probably i presume....if their bots or system finds an external program attached to ur gameplay or dunno how its done, then its considers it cheating. Even thought u didnt do anything cheat related. Again just presuming.

Our friend from recent posts above here saying that the trade macro is not a cheat. It's not an overlay. You have to alt tab out of the game to see the results.

I did notice I had too many requests and was locked out of their trade site. This was all by hand searching I was doing. I am a nerd with OCD and I search a lot.

PoE Overlay is the name of the trade price program i use....i dunno what is categorised as but when u see half o player base using it wihtout any problem u will use it also without any thought of risking anything.

But again, in my case, i got banned 10 hours after i reported a bug. If it were to be from that, maybe i would have been banned before i encountered the bug, a long time ago even....i dunno how they do bans, some say they do mass ban waves...dunno how that is done....

To clarify that poe overlay incident, no one was ever banned. Their accounts got locked. From reports of GGG employees, Bex stated that the reports are "hammering the server too much" because overlay used to search every second when you tried to price a rare.

I still remember that incident, it because of the massive request sent by overlay,the trade site was not responding at all, we were all stucked without trade for several days, and for them to solve this issue is to lock these players that do 1000+ searches a day

This is a ban wave for bots i assume. Cant fill in the details else the programmers will cover their tracks for next wave
